Distilled water has been evaporated and then condensed back into liquid form. This means it doesn't have calcium and other minerals in it that will form deposits in the unit.

Answer:	No, I haven't found anything that would override it. I also use it for quilting and would rather it stayed on. I found out later that the Rowenta Focus does stay on. If I had known that at the time, I would have purchased it instead. Hope this helps.

Answer:	The correct answer is that the iron will shut itself off if it is on and (1) you leave it flat for 30 sec., (2) tip it over for 30 sec., or (3) leave it vertical for 8 min. Unplugging the iron is not an AUTO turn-off.

Answer:	I can see the water level rise as I add water to the iron. You can see the level through the clear plastic cover. That said, this is a powerful iron that puts out a lot of steam. Therefore, it goes through a tank of water after I iron just two or three shirts. I am happy to refill the chamber as needed, since this powerful iron will take the wrinkles out of any fabric.

Answer:	DG8520 has safety clip for nose of iron (plus indented heel area to securely hold iron nose to heel - iron stays securely in place since its gripped by both sides) - keeps unit snug together with less chance of falling while transporting (previous iron could flip off during transport as you have to physically hold onto both top iron and bottom generator/station unit). DG8520 also has on/off switch (for previous models without built in on/off switch - its possible to plug into power strip with on/off switch) which previous models do not... along with larger water tank. Both can be filled with water without unit having to be cooled down. Just refill and keep on pressing! ;)I've owned several of the last 3 models (for my sewing business - these Rowenta iron steam stations can be your best friend - saves time for repetitive motions)... and like the DG8520 the best. The built in on/off switch and longer time between refilling have spoiled me... plus it's neat that I can carry unit without fear of iron being bumped off while in transport.

Answer:	The only difference between the two radios is the Road Trip comes with a mag mount antenna. They both come with a DC power adapter for use in a vehicle. Get the HH 38 and buy your own antenna which will be the real deal CB antenna. Also, I think the logo on the RoadTrip version is juvenile.

Answer:	They are ok around the house or for about one block. There is a telescoping antenna that works better, or you can get an adapter at Radio Shack and use a high quality magnetic roof antenna on your car...But Cobra hand-helds don't put out more than 2 watts. I tested it on a 35 foot antenna and picked up someone at about 1 1/2 miles...That's about it. If you want some power get a Boefeng Ham radio (about $40) ar a Magnum 357 HP EXPORT RADIO, that has about 80 watts, and Ham and CB frequencies, and a Ham Operators License. But Boefeng doesn't pick up CB channels... A Uniden 520XL CB from Wall Mart works very well for $39 with a good magnetic roof antenna on your car...The Hand-Held CB's just don't have much power, nor the necessary antenna... All CB's are rated at 4 watts, so if you are looking at an expensive CB, forget it, You're not getting any more transmit power. Get a cheap Uniden 520 XL 4 watts, or get something with power like a Magnum 357HP (80 watts) and set it up for all channels with a good antenna...

Answer:	YES you use rechargeable batteries and YES you can charge them inside the radio. There are two power jacks on the side of the radio. One for power to run off a car cigarette lighter plug or any 12v power supply, and a second for charging. This radio will not work with it plugged into "Charge" jack only ( it bypasses the transmitter and rec.). If you want to use radio and charge at the same time you will need two power plugs. One to run it and one to charge..or just cut 'em off and splice together to same power source!). Almost any or all power supplies found here on amazon will have multiple hookups. Even at only 4-5 watts, with a good antenna like the k40 on your car roof or base station antenna on house roof you will be able to talk for miles. CB is dead nowadays except for a few truckers every now and then so can can expect much better performance than a few years ago.

Answer:	I actually contacted Amazon chat. They told me to try filling the basin with equal parts vinegar and water. Then I turned it on to hear it up. Then I tried steam. It took a minute or two but it worked.

Question:	How long does it take to heat up and be ready for pressing
Answer:	In heats up within a few minutes/nearly seconds at the most - just make sure you have your water in it if you desire steam, lift the lid and walk away (if you want to) for a few seconds. The lights on the top will let you know when it is ready; plus it will also give off a sound like a steam engine (not loud just letting you know when ready for steaming when you press the buttons). Not sure if I have the exact model that is shown here but I do love mine. I use it for sewing projects, jeans and most clothing when I have a huge bundle. I have had it for sometime and do not regret the purchase. It actually sits in my living room if you can get my drift (lol). Love it! Enjoy.
Question:	A complete suit gets wrinkled much earlier than it needs getting dry cleaned, that's why I was trying to see if it's worth the investment
Answer:	Paul, I've never tried to press a complete suit, but there are places that seem to wrinkle first like the lower back of the coat and the crotch area of the pants. The press works real well on this areas. I do the same thing with shirts --both the shirt tail and the area around the waist wrinkles before the collar indicates that the shirt needs to be cleaned -- a quick application of the press restores the pressed look.

Answer:	The only difference is that the ESP18 has a digital display, the ESP2 does not.
Question:	What kind of stand should I get
Answer:	We tried the stands offered on amazon which caused you to sit too low. We ended up purchasing a regular craft table 2'3" in height x 2'8" in width.For longer items such as curtains and sheets we use a standard ironing board. Comfort is key if you are constantly pressing items. No matter what you choose for comfort you will enjoy the steam press. It works great.
