Answer:	No it will not. The slot in the back of the R1 and R3 accepts a narrow metal tab. Lock slot is different also. I bought one of these for my STI Magnum years ago and it is great. Didn't like the supplied Uniden mount for my R1. So I bought another of these, cut the tab off of the factory Uniden mount, and tack-welded it to this mount. Hope this helps.
