Answer:	No. I use a duvet cover with buttons on the bottom.

Answer:	We have a very large washer so it fits in - use the cold and gentle cycles. It also needs a larger than average dryer - and can take a long time to dry completely. If your machines aren't big enough, take it to a commercial laundry/dry-cleaners. We keep ours in a Duvet cover, so the comforter itself doesn't need cleaning that often.

Answer:	I'm not sure what you mean by cotton stuffed, am guessing like a "normal" comforter. If that is what you mean, it doesn't feel like that at all, much more like a feather bed. It is very light, not squishy, but super warm. We are going to take it off the bed soon as it is too warm for spring and summer. We are very happy with it, too warm if anything.

Answer:	This duvet has baffle-box construction, not sewn-through construction; baffle-box is better in my opinion as you don't get cold spots at the seams. Whether it's open or closed baffle-box I don't know, but I always fluff up my duvets at least once a week anyway, and this keeps the down from shifting around. It's a lovely duvet and wonderfully light and cozy!
