You can also lay the rug out in a sunny room first, heat helps further loosen the backing.

Answer:	Just received this today and it came folded and rolled, as well as tied with twine to keep it from unfolding during packaging. The folds did not look like they had to be made in any particular way for unfolding, but definitely for shipping.

Question:	Has anyone had issues with shipping? i ordered mine november 27th. it was supposed to have arrived on the 5th. i’ve yet to receive it
Answer:	Mine got wet and did curl up but returned to normal once it was dry.
Question:	When this rig gets wet, does it curl up and get wrinkled
Answer:	I too have this rug and it came with horrible creases. For 2 months I’ve had extremely heavy objects on it. This didn’t solve the problem. It also does not lay completely flat...lots of bumps, etc. I have a gorilla brand rug mat underneath for easy vacuuming and cushioning. I’ve read other reviews about steaming and how it will shrink and misshape the rug so I haven’t done that. I spoke with Amazon customer service and they’re replacing it without me having to return the defective item thankfully. This is an Amazon/manufacturer issue...customer shouldn’t have to be inconvenienced.
