Question:	Are they black or dark brown
Answer:	Surprisingly, yes. I didn't think a standard 4-ply matte (thickest standard matte thickness at .05" thick) would actually work, so I cut one to size, popped it all together and - voila! - it fit. However, because everything rests on/presses against a thin plastic ridge, using a thicker matte might damage the photo over time. I'm thinking a 1- or 2- ply matte would eliminate any possible damage and still present the photo in a professional manner.
Question:	What are the sizes of the acutal frames? I know they hold 8x10, 5x7, & 4x6 pictures but what are the sizes of the actual frames? I have an idea of what I would like to do with the frames but I need the exact sizes of the frames for spacing
Answer:	Yes, they have a single "easel stand" as they call it on the frames up to this size (8.5"x11"). It looks suitable for tabletop or mantle use, but I've not set any of mine up this way.

Answer:	There is a clear (pretty thick) plastic cover.

Answer:	If you look at the Format website, you will see that the frames come in multiple sizes, including both 11x17 and 11x14. The frames themselves are very well-made.

Question:	If the poster is 16x20 will it fit nicely in this frame
Answer:	Plastic
Question:	Would this be strong enough to hold a gesso board
Answer:	If your puzzle is the same size as the frame, probably not. My puzzle was 1/4 inch too long, and a friend cut it with a utility knife without destroying the puzzle. I didn't glue it, and it's snug. But if the puzzle is smaller than the frame, I'm guess that any movement or jarring could knock it apart, The instructions tell you to glue it. I didn't, but I'm happy. Be sure to measure your puzzle before ordering. It must be EXACTLY 24x30 or smaller.
Question:	Will a puzzle fit in this frame
Answer:	I frame I purchased is 20x27 and is a perfect fit for my puzzle of the same size. There was no need for me to use the mat which is the same size as the frame.
Question:	Will this work for a drawing that's already matted
Answer:	The "glass" is plastic and really reflect light very badly. Seeing the puzzle displayed inside is very difficult to see when there is any light reflecting on it.

Answer:	Yes it will, the frame actually comes apart and you clip the edges back on your poster.

Answer:	I never use a gesso board but this is a snap in place frame so I would say if the gesso board is the flat thin type then yes.However, I am using it for Poster Pictures with the thin cardboard as the backing and it works and look perfect.
Question:	How thick is the mat? I have a quilled piece that I don't want to get smashed
Answer:	The frame fits a 16 x 20 photograph exactly. So I imagine if your puzzle is that size it should work. There's enough depth also to accommodate the thickness of a puzzle. Great quality frame as well.
Question:	What is the exact size of the opening in the 11 x 14 - 5 x
Answer:	It can. The rails are channels that slide over the clear plastic front piece and your art work. The frame comes with nice thick backing board but since you will be using a matted piece, you will probably discard that board. I have three matted pieces done with these frames and because of the thickness of the matting, the channel rails were a tight fit and consequently the corners aren't as tight as they should be. If your art work is at all important, I would step up a notch and get a bit nicer frame. Plus using non-glare picture glass is a big benefit over the plastic used for these frames.

Answer:	Hi, these are cheap frames; I got them to frame some theater posters. The opening size is 13 x 21, so they do cut off a bit of the poster or whatever you are framing. The frames themselves are black plastic and have acrylic instead of glass, so they are very lightweight. I saw the same ones (with different brand name) at Walmart for less $$$. Hope this helps!

Answer:	This is two plastic u shaped pieces (3 squares each) that slide together. Inside is a cardboard to paste pictures on. You could rotate this to display any of the 6 sides.

Answer:	It comes apart in two pieces, so you can put something inside. I put photos on each side of mine.
