| Answer: | My dog and cat occasionally get into this fountain. This causes it to fall off its base, then it splashes a bit and said culprit, runs off!! This has happened a dozen or so times and the fountain is still like new. I use fake candles because of this, they work fine. My husband says he has caught the dog drinking from it too! This is ok because I dont use any of the water conditioner as this fountain needs to be refilled about twice a week, even without the help of the dog. We had it outside this summer on the deck, in those conditions it needs water everyday. |

| Answer: | No, there is not. There is no need for a control button, as the water flow is perfect. The flow after time will slow due to a need for clean out. I use aqua water algae control for aquariums or ponds to clear up sludge and algae,(once a month) also only used distilled or bottle water when doing touch up refills, usually every other day.
