Answer:	The metal is black. The small side panels are 10 1/2" each. The middle panel is 26. My fireplace opening is 41 3/4". The screen comes out 6 3/4" from the opening with the side panels angled and touching about an inch on the brick face past the opening on each side. The screen is really great quality. Nice substance to the metal. It looks great!! Wonderful quality for the price.
