Answer: Yes, I have not had these slip whatsoever, even with REALLY heavy books (currently one bookend is holding almost 35 pounds of books up).

Answer: If you read description carefully. "Heavy Duty" selection never said 1 pair but "Original" selection description said "1 pair" specifically. Therefore when placing your order, make your selection carefully.
Question: How would these do holding up a vinyl record collection
Answer: I think it would do awesome. I am using it to hold up 4 of the Jim Kay Deluxe Illustrated Harry Potter Books that are 15x12" and more than 8 pounds each, and there has been absolutely no movement - and this is almost a year later.

Answer: There are two mounting screws, one on each edge (left and right) and are already in place. In the Amazon.com description of these lights, they are the 2 silver colored phillips head screws. You just place the fixture where you want it and start turning the screws clockwise (looking up at the fixture). It will start to tighten down and when snug, you can quit. I believe there are also white plastic plugs that fit in the holes to give a finished look (which I didn't use).

Answer: I have four of these, in different lengths, ganged on one LutronAria dimmer. The dimmer does have a trim switch for setting low power, but it doesn't work at all well with these. Unfortunately, these lights reset to 100% brightness when you power them off and back on, otherwise the 50% setting would work well in my application. But turning them all on then tapping four switches to dim to 50% isn't very efficient. I would not plan to dim these with the wall switch.

Answer: There isn’t one and they don’t answer their phone or return phone calls when you leave message. I ended up throwing mine away after about 5 weeks because the lights would blink on and off all the time . Good luck with yours! Go to Walmart and get one, you will have less headaches .
