Product description
The Christmas cactus is native to the South American jungles. The flowers bloom once a year and come in shades of fuchsia, yellow, salmon, pink, white, orange, red and sometimes will even have a combination of the colors. The Christmas cacti are tropical plants. They require sunlight and the blooms last longer with cooler temperatures. Keep them away from heaters, fireplaces, radiators, furnace ducts, and other heat sources. Place in a sunny location while indoors and if outdoors during the summer, find a place that has a sun/shade mix to prevent the plant from getting burned. The best way to be sure your plant is getting just the right amount of water is to wait until the soil is dry on the top and still a bit moist toward the bottom. Then water the plant until the soil is saturated. Drain off any excess water that accumulates on the bottom. Then do not water again until the top half of the soil feels dry to the touch again. Well-drained soil is very important. A high quality cactus mix is great. If you can't find any that is made for cactus you can mix two parts regular potting soil with one part coarse sand. In order to insure your plant will bloom in time for Christmas, you will need to give the plant a rest period. Cut back on the watering leaving the soil only partly moist. Allow at least 14 hours of total darkness for the plant at night and sun during the day, until the buds begin to form. Start the dark period in early September. Once the buds form they can take from 10 to 12 weeks to fully bloom. After the Christmas cactus is done blooming you can prune it to incourage new growth. You'll also find that the plant will bloom better next year if it is trimmed. As new growth appears in the spring, put a diluted solution of liquid houseplant fertilizer 2 to 3 weeks after the start of the new growth. The cactus should be repotted every 2 to 3 years depending on how depleted the soil is. Repotting should be done in the spring.

Question: | how to care for Arabian Tea Jasmine plant |
Answer: | As Pet Parents customer service said, give her time. Put one on for a little while, take it of, put it on for a longer time next time. If she has toys or treats she likes, play or give her a treat with it on. When we first used these on my puppy, she wouldn’t move and then walked all bow legged at first. With the distraction of treats and playing, she began to move like normal. Now she only has a minute or so of walking funny before she forgets it’s even on. However, cats use their tail for balance in a way dogs do not. Not sure if the diaper may interfere with that?? |
Question: | Would these be ideal for container gardening? I want to plant vegetables and don't have much space in the ground |
Answer: | not sure what size. my dog measures almost 15. but she is small JR 10lb. she is more stocky. so she’s on the cusp of sm and med. don’t want it to be too big. she starting issues with inconsistence. so most want to use while sleeping or if we are gone. otherwise she still goes to door. she has on,h had handful of accidents. but know it will get worse. she’s 16 yrs old. |

Question: | What is the number in the triangle on the bottom |
Answer: | Trees |
Question: | How many do you obatin in a purchase |
Answer: | Simple web search for arabica coffee plants will give you invaluable links and information. A generic response is at:- https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coffea In their natural habitat plants grow to about 15’ high, but it doesn’t happen overnight. You need to do your own research and apply your circumstances accordingly. |
Question: | I have several herb plants, can these pots be used for my herb plants or should I use bigger pots |
Answer: | I ended up with 11 seedlings in one pot. Pull the plant you receive out and carefully separate the soil ball. |
Question: | what are the inside measurements of these pots |
Answer: | I haven't bought this but as a professional in the coffee industry I can tell you that Kona, Blue mountain, etc are not cultivars or varieties. Kona can only be called Kona if it's in Kona. Kona is just a place, once the plant leaves it, it's no longer Kona. Recently Kona farmers began a law suit against Walmart and others for this reason for falsely claiming their coffee was Kona when they were selling it elsewhere. Bourbon is more on par with the answer you're looking for. Eitherway, it's an Arabica. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Will it still bloom in moderate sunlight? I only have west-facing windows in my apartment |
Answer: | Western exposure is strong sun exposure in the afternoon. It will do good there just as long as it is not right up to the hot window. |
Question: | will jasmin do well in north texas |
Answer: | If your plant becomes very well established it can. We have well estblished jasmine that is left uncovered during freezing weather/snow and it does well. |
Question: | I got my plant 2 days ago. moved it to 9 inch pot. i keep it inside at night. it is still turning brown. how often should i water it? how much |
Answer: | Keep it in sunlight and water it twice a week only. Too much water can kill he plant. |
Question: | i live in buffalo ny and its getting cold can keep the plant in a pot in a sunny window all year ling |
Answer: | Well I think I can help you with this. NY is a dry, cold climate - this plant needs water and sun but not so much as to drown and burn it. I had one in Louisiana that I bought on Amazon because I wanted the smell of home (Coronado, California) and for awhile it grew well, then we were hit with high heat and humidity and my precious plant died. It's a plant for outdoors and takes a year to grow big enough to bloom. When it blooms at night, it's awesome. For indoor, you could grow it as long as you kept it monitored well. When it starts to bloom, it is really fragrant and strong. I would transfer it outside in the warm summer months but out of direct sunlight. Follow the directions and you won't have any problems. If I buy another one, I'll buy the fully grown plant that's ready to bloom, not the small one just starting to sprout. A year is a long time to wait. The plant I bought from Amazon was a great plant and lived a long time. I messed up and it died because I missed a couple of days of watering and moving it. I was very happy with my purchase. Best wishes. Hope this helps. |
