Answer:	I've had mine since the beginning of August. Mine still works just fine. The black filters are washable. And it comes with 2 so you can still use the ashtray while the other dries. It charges up over night and it lasts a long time in between the next charge.

Answer:	Yes,if you push on one part of the lid, it flips around (you can see the pivot points on each side of the circular lid in the picture). Once the ash tray part is revealed - there is also a little support prong for your butt to sit, as you leisurely flip through a mag or sip from your mint julep. Once you are done - a little flip and the ash tray flips back into place as it deposits the ashes inside. The lid comes off so you can dump the ashes and wash the inside between uses. When the wick is burned to black and become short, the wick can’t absorb enough fluid so it will be difficult to ignite. Please extend or change the wick by the steps as below.

1. Pull the steel scraper out by pliers.

2. Slowly pull the wick out, stop pulling if you think it’s long enough. Please directly change the wick if it’s too short to wrap the scraper.

3. Put the scraper back to the middle of the wick, and then lightly hammer it back to the pipe.

4. The exposed part of the wick should be at least half of the length of the exposed scraper.

Tips:

The size of the flame can be controlled by adjusting the length of the cotton wick. The exposed cotton core is long and the flame is big. The wick is short and the flame is small.

Answer:	I keep mine plugged in. The button is always red. When I press the button for speed 1 or 2 it’s more of a pinkish purple color.

Answer:	Not that I have seen--I never left it charging overnight myself...I mean, in reality all internal batteries from laptops to hair buzzers don't like being plugged in for ages without use. If your asking if it will explode on the charger...no. May just shorten the battery life if you leave it for extremely long periods of times. Another charger might damage the ashtray, and the one it comes with is pretty cheap IMO, but I plugged it into phone chargers as well as USB 3 ports with different voltages and never had an issue.
