Question:	Is the clock etc. backlit for reading time etc at night
Answer:	Whatever, the one I have is very dim and I can only view it by holding it. The thing says it has backlight, the manual says it, but it's not a feature. It also has a button "Signal" on the back that is not explained anywhere. It seems to work well enough, but it's impossible to read the screen in most places I have put it or hung it up.
Question:	How "weather resistant" is the sensor
Answer:	The manual suggests that the sensor can be out in the weather, as long as it isn't in the pouring rain. AcuRite sells a protective unit, here on Amazon, for a reasonable price to protect the sensor from full sun and rain and snow. Use Lithium batteries if you have it out in weather colder than 40 degrees (F). Right now it's 44 degrees on my patio in southern California.
Question:	Is the back flat so I can hang this on a wall
Answer:	Yes, the back is flat and it has a recessed hole in the back so it can be hung on a nail or screw. Once hung, it sits perfectly flat against the wall.

Question:	Does the sensor have to be placed outside
Answer:	No. Sensors can be placed anywhere within range but must be outside if that’s where you want to measure. I have one outside and one in my summer house.
Question:	Where does the forecasting information come from
Answer:	From stored information and the sensor that the station uses to forecast the weather, based on temperature, barometric pressure and humidity
Question:	Can i leave the batteries in the weather station while using the power supply
Answer:	Yes you can, i do this on mine and everything is fine.
Question:	Can the time be read in the dark without pressing anything
Answer:	I think you would need a torch to read the outside sensor. To read the inside display you have to press the brightness button (4th up) - it will stay bright even if the room is in darkness.

Answer:	If you have a hand held radio turned on in the UHF freq. range 420-450 Mhz the transmission of the remote sensor is irritating. Took me awhile to discover where the interference was coming from.
Question:	What are the dimensions of this item
Answer:	As it sets on my table it is 8" wide, 5"hi. Unit is about 1/2" deep, but use of the easel stand will take up more room.
Question:	Whats the difference beyween this unit and the S
Answer:	The S88907 has a humidity range of 1% to 99% RH. It also includes an Indoor comfort range: Too DRY (1-25%), DRY (26-39%), Comfort OK (40-75%), Wet (76-83%), Too Wet (84-99%), and a 300 foot wireless transmission range. The 308-1414B has a humidity range: 19% to 97% RH, and a 200 foot wireless transmission range.
Question:	Does this have variable brightness settings
Answer:	When plugged in it has 3 brightness setting. High, medium, and dimmed. When on battery, it is automatically dimmed, then you click for brightness, then goes back to dim.

Troubleshooting Tips!

Dashes for Outdoor temp

1) Hold HEAT/DEW button for 3 seconds to search for outdoor sensor. Reception icon will flash while searching/solid when received signal.

2) Weak battery power - check low battery indicator on station. You may change batteries in your sensor, then immediately hold HEAT/DEW to search for signal again!

Weak/Low Power

Low battery next to Indoor Temp = weather station back up batteries are weak/low

1. Continue using power cord, and remove old batteries.
2. Recommend using Brand Name, Standard Alkaline batteries (Exp Date should be 7 years ahead of current year)
3. No action required after

Factory Restart: Remove Residual electrical current

1. DISCONNECT: Remove all power (batteries and AC power cord) from weather station and sensor (bring near station)
2. Press one of the buttons on the weather station at least 20 times to clear all memory
3. Leave both units without power for 15 minutes

Reinstall with Fresh, New Batteries

1. Insert fresh batteries into the outdoor sensor.
2. Insert the AC power cord into the wall outlet then into the weather station.
3. Wait 15 minutes for proper connection between sensor and display before remounting your sensor. (We recommend mounting sensor on Northside of home, protected from direct sunlight and precipitation, but well-ventilated)

Answer:	This is not available in other colors.
Question:	Does this unit display min & max for both indoor & outdoor and where are they shown. Is it based on 24 hrs
Answer:	All HI/LO temperature/humidity records reset automatically at 12:00 (midnight). Press the TEMP button once to view HI indoor and outdoor temperature/humidity records. Press the TEMP button a second time to view LO indoor and outdoor temperature/humidity records. These will display on the right hand side of the screen beneath the Outdoor section and Indoor section.
Question:	With model 308-1417(bl): can any of the measurements (temp, humidity,pressure) be manually calibrated
Answer:	I don't believe you can calibrate Humidity, temp. and barometric pressure. The manual I got with the weather station didn't describe any of this!
Question:	can you see it on battery power without using the backlight
Answer:	Yes, the display is still visible without the backlight. You may press the button while on battery power to illuminate the backlight for up to 10 seconds.

It can receives signals as long as the range between the sensor and your clock is within 200 feet. Question:	how do you keep projection light on,if I push the button on top it stays on for about 10 seconds and then it goes out, it used to stay on all the time
Answer:	Hello, thanks for your question. Both the projection and the screen is supposed to stay lit all the time after you plug in the clock. We assume that your clock has been searching for WWVB signal for time calibration, which happens after you reset the clock or at midnight. The projection and the backlight will resume once the calibration is complete. You can long press the "-" button to stop the clock searching time signal. Answer:	Page 8 and 9 in your instruction manual has step by step to set and change the alarm. I have not set an alarm myself

Answer:	We have a tri level house and I have one unit in our attic. The main unit is in our kitchen, 2 floors down, and it works fine, so I would think it would work in your crawl space.

Question:	Is this run on batteries or can you plug it in? Also does it have a clock alarm
Answer:	Both the sensor and the weather station have batteries. No alarm on this one. Maybe others have one. I love it. Mine was a present from my kids last Christmas. I told my best friend about it, he was amazed. So I bought him one for his birthday. He loves his too. Would highly recommend this for everyone!
Question:	Can this unit accommodate more than just the one sensor that comes with it? If so, how many max
Answer:	Two separate units can operate together by selecting different channels for each but only one sensor is allowed per unit
Question:	Is the operational manual worth the paper it is written on. I bought a Meade weather station and could never figure out how to get the time to work
Answer:	the time is automatically set. It has what is called an inteli time (Not exactly sure that's what its called) feature that automatically sets the time date and daylight savings time. But if it does not work for some reason, the manual is easy to understand. I fact I have other products I got regarding weather are from acurite. Two stations and a weather radio, all easy to read manuals, including this station. Actually I did not even need to read the manual half the time. The station is easy enough to set up its essentially effortless. Unless you are trying to find a proper place for the sensor. But overall its easy understanding manual to read and easy to set up the station. I doubt you will have problems with the time. If you do I will be surprised, this station despite how cheap it is not bad. Mine has been surviving for 4 months in a tree outside my house, no issues. Also the indoor display is rather accurate. The station itself is actually designed to become more accurate the more you use it. So it may be inaccurate the first couple of days but after awhile it gets the forecast rather good.

Answer:	I find the display easy to read, it has good contrast with a light background and black text.
