Answer:	The hip straps are not removable and, unfortunately, they cannot be tucked away like some other packs. The only thing you can do with them is to cinch them (reduce their length) so they don’t droop too much.... not ideal, but a reasonable solution for an otherwise great, and very comfortable camera backpack
