troubleshooting Steps : Remove all batteries from outdoor sensor and clock. Press one of the buttons on the clock at least 20 times to clear all memory. Verify that the clock is blank before proceeding (there may be lines painted on the screen). Leave both units without power for 15 minutes (very important). Insert fresh batteries into the outdoor sensor. Insert fresh batteries into the clock. Keep the outdoor sensor 5-10 feet from the clock. When RF connection is established, the temperature will appear on the station. Allow the outdoor sensor and clock to sit together for 15 minutes to establish a strong connection. Do not press buttons for 15 minutes. For optimum 915MHz transmission, the outdoor transmitter should be a distance of no more than 200 feet (60 meters, open air) from the clock.

Note: Distance: The maximum transmitting range in open air is over 200 feet (60 meters) between the outdoor transmitter and the clock. Consider what is in the signal path between the clock and the transmitter. Consider the distance the clock is located away from other electronic in the home. Resistance: Obstacles such as walls, windows, stucco, concrete, and large metal objects can reduce the range. When considering the distance between the transmitter and the clock (200 feet open air) cut that distance in half for each wall, window, tree, bush or other obstruction in the signal path. Closer is better. Do not mount the transmitter on a metal fence. This significantly reduces the effective range. Interference: Consider items in the signal path between the transmitter and the clock. Sometime a simple relocation of the transmitter or the clock will correct the interference issue. Windows can reflect the radio signal. Metal will absorb the RF (radio frequency) signal. Stucco is held to the wall by a metal mesh. Transmitting antennas (ham radio, emergency dispatch center, airports, military base etc.) Electrical wires (utilities, cable etc.) Vegetation is full of moisture and reduces signal.

  • Wirelessly monitors indoor/outdoor temperatures
  • Atomic Clock automatically & adjusts for daylight Saving time
  • 12- & 24-hour Clock. Remote transmission of outdoor temperature to temperature station by 915 MHz
  • Wall hanging or free standing; Perpetual calendar & Time zone setting
  • Requires 2 AA & 2 AAA batteries
  • Accurate and self-setting atomic time and date with automatic daylight saving time
  • Indoor and outdoor temperature; 200 feet wireless range.

User questions & answers

User questions & answers

Question: What if we set it to international time zones, will the radio interfere with this
Answer: Yes. This clock is made to work atomically only for the 4 time zones in the US: Pacific, Mountain, Central and Eastern. Outside of these time zones, the quartz capability operates, while the atomic capability is inoperable.
Question: Is the clock totally silent? I can't stand the noise that some clocks can make. I do not want to hear the hands moving at all
Answer: I have never noticed any noise out of the clocks. I have 10 or more at my work. Some are in offices and no one ever mentioned noise from them. I have a kuckoo clock at home, so I must admit clock noise is not an issue for me.
Question: Does this clock "tick-tock" or is it silent? Thanks
Answer: Mine varies, sometimes silent and sometimes ticks rather loudly, easily audible from across the room if nothing else is making noise. However it's a fairly low-pitch airy tick sound that I don't find annoying at all. I probably wouldn't want it in a bedroom or a study room though.
Question: We have tried 3 times with new batteries and the clock will work for 5 hours and then stop
Answer: I found that over the first year, it could not handle the daylight saving/standard time switch at all. After the first year, it has generally not kept accurate time at all -- started off by being an hour off, but now just random amounts of time off: anywhere form 5 minutes off to 50 minutes off the time. I've pitched mine into the trash and will look for another brand.I believe that almost all the analog clocks sold on Amazon have the same mechanism made in China (the brand like "Lacrosse" or others is just the maker of the external stuff). Generally, they stop working after a year or two. Read all the reviews. I've given up trying to buy a wall clock on Amazon and will get one at a store where returns are easy if there is a problem.

When you read a clock, you want to be sure it shows the correct time. With La Crosse Technology’s Atomic Analog 10-inch Wall Clock, you can remove all the hassle and worry if the time is correct. This radio-controlled analog clock automatically sets to the exact time, accurate to the second. It has four time zone settings, and it automatically updates for Daylight Saving Time (on/off option). Operating this wall clock is easy. Simply insert one AA alkaline battery into the clock. After the signal is received, press the Time Zone button to set your time zone. Use the manual reset button if you need to readjust the clock, if you are outside the 2,000 mile distance from the signal (located in Fort Collins, CO.) This convenient wall clock has a stylish silver frame and an easy-to-read analog face. Its simple style will complement almost any room.

Keep track of time with the utmost precision with this attractive atomic analog wall clock from La Crosse Technology. The stylish clock receives radio signals at a 60kHz frequency up to 2000 miles away from its source, the United States Atomic Clock in Boulder, Colorado. By radio communication with its built-in antenna, the clock regularly updates the hour, minute, and second of the day for continued accuracy. Additionally, the clock adjusts automatically for daylight savings time in the spring and fall.

An attractive chrome-colored plastic frame encompasses the clock face. Underneath the flat lens, contemporary numerals adorn the face for easy reading. Four buttons allow users to choose the appropriate United States time zone. For those who prefer their clocks to run five minutes fast or to match another clock, the clock offers a manual set option. For the best results, place the clock away from computers, electronic equipment or other articles that receive a signal. The clock may be slow to receive signals upon initial set-up, but should communicate unhindered after one day. This clock requires the separate purchase of one AA battery for a year's worth of power. With a 7-1/4-inch diameter face, the full body of the clock measures 10 inches in diameter with a 1-2/3-inch depth. The clock weighs 1-1/3 pounds upon shipping. --Jessica Reuling

User questions & answers

Question: Is this a quartz movement clock, wil it work in Southern California
Answer: yes
Question: changed battery (new) , wont reset itself to correct time just keeps sweeping lacrosse WT-3102S, pls. advise
Answer: If you go to their website, they have instructions for different roblems with their products. If you don't find an answer to your question there, you can also speak live to someone at lacrosse. I'm not familiar with this problem with this clock, but when I had problems resetting after a battery change with their weather station, this was my experience.
Question: Does this clock have a (quiet) sweep second hand or does it tick (and make a noise) with each second? Thanks
Answer: You can eliminate most of the sound by carefully opening the clock and snipping the second hand with a nail clipper. I did this when my old La Crosse clock was failing because, inexplicably, the second hand was scraping against the face and one of the other hands. It got really quiet after that. The only noise left is the occasional reset that sweeps the minute and hour arms when the time needs to be corrected (it's very rare).
Question: Does 10" refer to the overall diameter, or just the clock mechanism
Answer: overall the clock is 10"

User questions & answers

Question: It is dst for eastern region, my clock has reset itself 2hrs later. it is now 12:30 and clock shows 2:30. how to fix
Answer: Follow this link to the owners manual, it will explain how to set up your clock. https://www.lacrossetechnology.com/media/catalog/product/g/e/generic_uts_manual_5-14v2_3.pdf
Question: Does this clock make any noise? Other than the setting periods. I don't want it to tick
Answer: I noticed some reviews from about six years old saying that it's quiet and all the recent ones say otherwise. Mine is 11 years old and is one of several of this brand that I have owned. I can hear the ticking just fine from across the room, and the sound made at 15 second intervals (0,15,30,45 seconds) is more pronounced.
Question: Will this clock work correctly if hung on a north facing wall
Answer: You have to remember that it depends on where you are located from the NIST transmitter located in Boulder Co. Most Americans are east of Boulder hence the recommendation to mount it on a west facing wall close to the outside. If you are south of Boulder than a north wall would be best. The farther away from Boulder the weaker the signal. I'm all the way on the east coast and can receive the signal well enough to maintain synchronization with the atomic clock. The only cliches occur at the daylight saving time changes but that rights itself in a day or so. Mine fLa Crosse lasted thirteen years and I'm about to order this one as a replacement. Well worth the investment!
Question: Please advise what type of wood and finish
Answer: Not sure of the type os wood but it is finished very nicely. Stained to a beautiful finish. The schedule for daylight savings time is wrong and impossible to get tech support from the company. I recommend you take a pass on this clock. No matter how nice the finish, the wrong time renders the clock worthless. No not buy!

User questions & answers

Question: My clock goes to sleep help
Answer: Have you tried replacing the battery s? I use the batteries with a 10 year life. They cost a little more but worth the price.
Question: size
Answer: The whole unit is 7" x 9" and it has a 6" in screen (3.5" x 5"). It's not huge, but a good size. Im looking at it right now on the bookshelf in my office and I can tell you that it's smaller than an 8x10 picture frame but bigger than a 5x8 frame. Hope this helps.
Question: How big are the numbers and dates
Answer: Time is about 1-1/2" and the date is about 1/2". You should be able to read the numbers from 20 ft away.
Question: is this clock lighted
Answer: No, as others have stated its easy to read during sunny daylight hours but if over cast and night hours unless you turn a bright light on you cant read it, I wish it had a dim light background that turned on in darker lighting, its 7:30am July,Tn and Im unable to read it from my chair without tirning a light on. I plan to search for one with a light, alarm feature is usless Ive never used that feature. But it is a great product & would fit my need if it had a sensor dim background lighting, I would rate 5
