Answer:	I don't think so. Actually I bought another Timex set-and-forget clock which is all digital and that model allows you to choose between two dst change dates: the current one and the one previous.

Question:	what happens when the "pre-installed" DST battery dies
Answer:	Appears to be the same as mine which is mounted with access via a Ladder only. Mine is a 5 year clock and required 5 AA batteries not Included which gives the 5 year run time.
Question:	How about tick tock sound. Is it loud
Answer:	If the office is quite enough then you can hear the working sound which is not the case in my office. Between the phone ringing, the keypad, printer, conversations and so on, the tick tack sound is the less you can hear.

Answer:	I bekieve the alarm volume is too low. I leave it on every night but it seldom wakes me up even on the high(loud) setting. Fortunately, I'm retired and can sleep in; otherwise I would buy a different alarm clock. I use it primarily as a clock.

Answer:	Atomic clocks work on the wave frequency of the electron's transition energy in an atom. Kinda like a clock based on the swing of a pendulum. None of it makes any sense to me, but has something to do with gravitational pull or something. I was never good at science! :)Intelli-Time from what I understand isn't radio-controlled. It uses a preset battery that stores the time and date on it, which then always keeps the time and date accurate even with daylight savings.I use this clock on top of my TiVo, so I can only vouch for that time-keeping aspect of it. It works well and is a great size for what I'm using it for. I cannot comment on the alarm. Hope this helps!

Answer:	There is a switch which allows you to turn the sound either loud or soft (two options only). I find it works fine, but it depends how sensitive you are.

Question:	Is the clock etc. backlit for reading time etc at night
Answer:	Whatever, the one I have is very dim and I can only view it by holding it. The thing says it has backlight, the manual says it, but it's not a feature. It also has a button "Signal" on the back that is not explained anywhere. It seems to work well enough, but it's impossible to read the screen in most places I have put it or hung it up.
Question:	How "weather resistant" is the sensor
Answer:	The manual suggests that the sensor can be out in the weather, as long as it isn't in the pouring rain. AcuRite sells a protective unit, here on Amazon, for a reasonable price to protect the sensor from full sun and rain and snow. Use Lithium batteries if you have it out in weather colder than 40 degrees (F). Right now it's 44 degrees on my patio in southern California.

Answer:	Yes, the back is flat and it has a recessed hole in the back so it can be hung on a nail or screw. Once hung, it sits perfectly flat against the wall.

Answer:	Yes. This clock is made to work atomically only for the 4 time zones in the US: Pacific, Mountain, Central and Eastern. Outside of these time zones, the quartz capability operates, while the atomic capability is inoperable.

Answer:	I have never noticed any noise out of the clocks. I have 10 or more at my work. Some are in offices and no one ever mentioned noise from them. I have a kuckoo clock at home, so I must admit clock noise is not an issue for me.

Answer:	Mine varies, sometimes silent and sometimes ticks rather loudly, easily audible from across the room if nothing else is making noise. However it's a fairly low-pitch airy tick sound that I don't find annoying at all. I probably wouldn't want it in a bedroom or a study room though.
Question:	We have tried 3 times with new batteries and the clock will work for 5 hours and then stop
Answer:	I found that over the first year, it could not handle the daylight saving/standard time switch at all. After the first year, it has generally not kept accurate time at all -- started off by being an hour off, but now just random amounts of time off: anywhere form 5 minutes off to 50 minutes off the time. I've pitched mine into the trash and will look for another brand.I believe that almost all the analog clocks sold on Amazon have the same mechanism made in China (the brand like "Lacrosse" or others is just the maker of the external stuff). Generally, they stop working after a year or two. Read all the reviews. I've given up trying to buy a wall clock on Amazon and will get one at a store where returns are easy if there is a problem.

Answer:	I don't think that it's like atomic. Mine has kept accurate time since I bought it and I have not had to adjust the time at all. All in all, I am much happier with this clock than with the atomic that I had previously
