Answer:	I have the same problem. The clock worked fine for about 2 months. Then the display went off. Reconnect the power cord would light up the display. But it went off in 20 sec. Answer:	No, the display is very clear, however the clock can be knocked over easily, the alarm is a very low beep and is non adjustable. The atomic time has never connected, it doesn't have a radio and the buttons are impossible to see the labels (must use instructions each time to set). Back up batteries do not retain time so they're worthless.

Answer:	I have had the same problem. It does not seem to light automatically in the dark room, which is what I wanted. If I push the top right "Button" it lights for a few seconds but that is all.

When you hit the snooze button on the top it does light up quite brightly, but that only stays on for 10 seconds.

Answer:	We purchased a 3rd one of these clocks for the living room bookshelf. Just checked and the digits are 1-11/16" (just about 1-3/4") high. This clock has one of the largest digits of all the alarm/desktop clocks I've searched for. Combined with a full dimming capability, makes this a fantastic clock, in my opinion. However, as I've previously noted: the alarm is virtually worthless for deep sleepers, or in my case, those wearing ear plugs. Being retired, if I need an alarm, I set my cell phone to wake me up. But, I love this clock.
