Answer:	Apparently. Although the statement "Made in Germany" does not appear on the clock (at least I can't find it), it says on the dial "Braun" and then below that it says "Germany." It appears to be well made and, so far, it works very well. It is accurate and quiet. It does not "tick tock" but has a continuous very quiet gear noise (you have to hold it up to your ear to hear it). So far, I am happy with it.

Answer:	Due to the slow exit of water from the solid drying beads (about 90 minutes, and the beads are very hard) I don't think the microwave would work. The instructions are very specific regarding the use of drying in an oven only, which works great. I believe it would be good to stay with the manufacturer's recommendations...

Answer:	If you pay with your credit card. Usually we'll double warranty. This is German engineering. It should not break. If it does, just get a new one. Time and efforts will cause more than the actual item.
Question:	where is it made
Answer:	There is no way to keep the backlight on. This is the way how it works. Just 10 seconds of backlight and that's it.
Question:	Does this come with a warranty
Answer:	No. You are forced to use the "light" button, which is tragically twinned with the alarm on/off button. Like a charge of high-explosives, it is best not to touch the Braun after setting the timer. Otherwise it may not go off as intended.
