What I've discovered is that there is a tiny bit more resistance to the "sore" tooth, but I have also been fooled many times with what I thought was the sore tooth and it wasn't. The rule in our house, just in case someone discovers this fault, is that you have to pick a tooth and then push it down so you can't change your mind if you feel a bit more resistance.
