Answer: Is your drive formatted for a Mac? I bought this product in a new Mac formatted state and have had no problems with it. I would also look at your security/privacy settings. You might try plugging it into another computer if available to see if it's recognized by the Windows operating system. You might simply need to reformat the drive. Good luck.
