Answer:	When determining the number of lights for a smaller Christmas tree, I always recommend looking at the length of the set to be sure that you have enough distance to wrap all the way around the tree and spread out the lights. My first thoughts are that 50 lights might be a little lean for a 3 feet tree, but it also depends on how dense the tree is and how wide the bottom branches of the tree are. I would say at least 50 lights will be needed.

Answer:	Very light weight ones....I used the trees as money trees and hung a bill on each branch using twist ties. I do have the 17 inch size.
