Answer:	In my opinion, that is a personal choice. The point of pots with air holes is to help ensure that the roots do not rot. Many orchids are epiphytic, or "air plants" which means they will not tolerate wet potting media for very long. That said, you can certainly grow epiphytic orchids in pots without ventilation holes, but the media that is used and the frequency you water will need to be such that the roots do not stay wet. So in answer to your question; yes, you certainly can use a plastic pot inside the ceramic pot, but it defeats the purpose of the ventilation holes in the ceramic pot and you will need to adjust your media and watering to ensure the orchid's roots do not rot due to excessive moisture around the roots.
