Answer:	I would think the 18k would be sufficient, since typically it can cover 750-850 sq ft on a traditionally insulated home.

Answer:	On average, the 12k can cover approx. 500 sq ft with an avg of 8 ft ceilings. It MIGHT be able to handle that space, but the 18k might do a better job.

Question:	How long is the power cord
Answer:	Short answer is maybe 2, but 2 can still trip your breaker if its on the same circuit (each room is typically a different circuit) and running at 100%. This depends on your circuit, most are 15A or 20A. Loosely the math is 120V * 15A = 1800W. In the 1800W scenario you can have 1.8 of these units running at full capacity. At 120V * 20A = 2400W you can have 2.4 of these heating units at full capacity. Given you may have other appliances in the room on the circuit you might not be able to run 2 of these units if that is the case. Best bet is to get one for each circuit (typically by room) or move up to the 1500W model for each circuit.
Question:	Would this be good for a small bathroom that is unheated and has cold tile floor? Would infrared be better
Answer:	Cord in on the bottom.
Question:	Can this be used in an outdoor, glass-covered sunroom that does not have heat
Answer:	I have used this heater continuously for a few weeks. In a small uninsulated area approximately 200 sq. ft. it has done very well. very simple to operate and safe, light and easy to mount it will cost you the use of 110v outlet.
Question:	Does the front of the unit get hot
Answer:	It is small but powerful for it's size. It's about two feet high and a foot and a half wide, only a few inches deep. It mounts on the wall in just a couple minutes, very easy to put up. I use a couple space heaters in my small home because it's old and doesn't have a central heat source. There are two, small electric base board heaters for the whole house and the space heaters do a good job of compensating. I live up north and we are experiencing wind chills of up to 50 below zero at times. On those INSANELY cold days it does take two space heaters to heat our home. However, when the temperature is up to 20 above or more, the Heat Storm does fine on it's own.

Answer:	The power cord is 6 feet long. There is also a compartment inside the Envi Heater to easily store any excess cord length.
Question:	When wired for 2000 watts, does the grill stay cool enough not to burn a small child's hands
Answer:	This heats our bathroom really well, we have a crawl space under the floor so we keep a rubber backed rug on most of the floor but none near toilet, tub or sink. It actually gets to hot for my liking, my husband loves it hot. It's a lot less expensive to run than infrared!!
Question:	how loud is the heater, how many sones
Answer:	Yes, the Envi Heater could be used in an outdoor sunroom. The effectiveness will vary depending on the level of insulation of the sunroom, the amount of glass, the size of the room, etc. You may also need multiple Envi Heaters for the sunroom.
Question:	I was told by the factory the 4000 watt mod 198 never has a true off, so how cold before the lowest setting turns on, as I worry for frozen pipes
Answer:	The front panel of the Envi Heater will only get slightly warm and does not exceed 90 deg F.

Answer:	One should cover a average to large bedroom easily.

Answer:	I don't know. I can tell to you that we take them to hotels all the time. For both deodorizing and to kill germsome. We usually check in and get them going. Go have dinner. Come back and cut air on and room smells like it just rained!! Plus all the bacteria are clobbered too.
Question:	How do I know if this is 'energy efficient' as the description claims
Answer:	It is an ozone generator and it definatly does work. I just read the box and it doesn't say anything about negative ions but if I leave it on full blast over night, my livingroom/kitchen smells like a pool area
Question:	Is there an automatic shut-off feature after a certain number of hours of operation
Answer:	After 4 months the $0.20 Chinese fan got very very loud. I would have to repeatedly tap the device for it to get quiet. After seconds or hours it would get loud again. After 6 months it is always very very loud.

Answer:	If you mean plug it in then no. If you mean the 240 thin instead of 120 that just means running two lines to it. My father did it for me and we just replaced an old one so the lines were already run.
Question:	can this operate on 208 volt
Answer:	I have this in my living room and run it during the day most days. I have small children and they can't stand in front of it for too long when it's running because the air gets very hot. But I have never had any of them have an issue touching the metal.
Question:	does it have adjustable built-in thermostat and where is the adjusting knob
Answer:	We do not have a sone level/sound ratings on the wall heaters. The only products that we supply sound ratings for are the fans that exhaust outside.
Question:	How many square feet will the unit heat
Answer:	I'm going to assume that you might be talking about a place that you visit for a vacation or some other reason, but not a full time residence, so thereforyou (set it on the lowest level) when you leave hoping the Broan will turn on (when it gets cold) to save your pipes from freezing.In that case, I might not be the best one that can answer your question. (However) I live where my Broan lives, In the winter time I set It on # 2 settingand It does a great job. Answer:	It would all depend upon how well the room is insulated and how much glass area you have. Mine is heating a sun room area that is approximately 150 square feet. The room can get quite cool (low 30 degrees) and heats up quickly with this heater. With a minimum of R13 insulation, I suspect that this unit could heat up to 400 square feet with no problem if given enough time.

Question:	Does the strong smell linger or will it dissipate with use
Answer:	Single top bracket, but sturdy. I didn't use the bracket. You can use short pieces of 2X3's or 2X4's to "sister" on to the wall studs. You will have ample work space after cutting the dry-wall out.
Question:	Can it be mounted in the wall
Answer:	Thats not bad, I have mine installed in a 28ft travel trailer and it gets the whole place up to around 78°F. You may have a situation where it is recirculating air too much close to it and satisfying the thermostat earlier than preferred. I am very happy with the performance of mine. When plugged in onsite I no longer have to waste propane keeping the place nice and warm during the colder season.
Question:	What is the ideal room size for this heater
Answer:	Not really. You can turn the knob al the way and it goes off. I found that the recommended height is six inches above the floor. I chose 12 inches. Heat rises and the small full bath is warm in a couple minutes. The best thing to do on install is while you have a big hole is fish a wire up to newly installed "old work" box for a switch at 52 inches above the floor centered above the heater. Then install a mechanical 15 Minute timer switch. Now the heater turns off automatically. You will be plenty warm. 10 minutes is best. You then don't have to bend over and turn a knobOne last piece of advice for old work install. One side should be against a stud. Use stud finder. On the other side of the whole required two 2x4 blocks to be able to screw the housing on the other side. Dedicated breaker completes install with 14-2 wire and a new breaker. Perfect install perfect comfort.

Answer:	The box that goes inside the wall is 3 3/4" deep, 7 13/16" high and 10 5/16" wide. It is designed to go between 16 and 24" studs. One side attaches to stud and a bracket to the other. The outer grille is 12" wide and 9 3/8" high. There is a lip of 1/2" around the internal box.

Question:	does this unit require an install box and is that included? thx
Answer:	I noted someone below stating they got the largest one and they can only run one water source at a time. My guess is they installed it wrong by not getting the electric hooked up right, or maybe the unit was just defective, or they live in Alaska. I went under size with an Eco 27 a few years ago because that’s all my electric panel could handle. We have zero issues in the summer. During winter months we can only run one shower at a time and have to slowly fill a tub (maybe 3/4 fill speed). To save as much money as I am on electric bill and have unlimited shower lengths (only 1 person at a time mid-Dec to mid-March) is totally worth it. On here today because I’m thinking of upping my panel size so was thinking of going with a larger one now. Regardless, CCRC’s experience with the largest unit not working is nothing like the experience I’ve had, and again I intentionally undersized mine for the house. The website has a clear chart to explain size you need based on number of water fixtures in your home and ground water temperature.
Question:	Does the thermostat have full OFF position, or is Low the lowest setting
Answer:	In the lower states it can, but in the northern states, multiple simultaneous users, it will be overloaded. If you can afford a 3,700 square foot home, then you can place a unit in each appropriate demand zone and be very glad you did. I love mine, live in KY, get great supply when the water is above 60 degrees, and then it slows the flow as the temperature drops. I have dishwasher, washing machine, garden tube, 2 showers, 3 sinks and 4 people. It is better than great in the summer, okay spring and fall, and we are conservative in the winter.
Question:	Will this fit flush with a wall that has a 2 by 4 stud? The Fahrenheat wall heaters don't seem to
Answer:	The instantaneous power consumption while the hot water is running is quite high (up to 18kW or 27kW depending on which model you’re looking at on this page). However, when no hot water is being used, the power consumption is 0 (or a minuscule amount to run an LED light or something). The total power consumption over the course of several days or longer should be much lower than a tank heater but the short term power usage while the heater is making hot water will be much higher than a tank heater. It’s just that the unit sits idle most of the time while a tank heater will use power fairly frequently even when no hot water is needed as the water in the tank cools off over time and needs to be re-heater fairly constantly

Question:	Can this be used with a 2 prong adapter in an older home
Answer:	This unit comes with a metal box that is recessed into the wall cavity by a rectangular opening that you cut into the wall. This unit was installed in 2012 and has been working excellent ever since. I wired it to a timer switch that goes up to 60 mins so the switch can be turned on to run the unit for a set time, and this unit has its own thermostat control setting. It has worked great in our kitchen ever since. - recommend it! -Alan K

Answer:	The lowest setting is not low it is off. Turn knobs all the way to left is off

Answer:	This unit does NOT have a positive off. It does shut off if turned all the way counter clockwise IF the room temperature is above 44 degrees F or so. Temperatures below this will cause the unit to run indefinitely unless that temperature is reached. We discovered this in a vacation house in the California Sierra that is vacant much of the winter. Temperatures often are in the teens, twenties and thirties and the three units we have cycled constantly in this weather. We called Cadet to complain and they sent us three replacement thermostat switches WITH a positive off position for $22 each ($71 total with tax). Cadet's wiring directions are ambiguous (I'm an electrician) but I was able to figure it out and now all three shut off in any weather. Cadet might make a unit with this positive off switch factory installed so, I would check with them first and get that part number if they do. I can see nor reason why any of their units should come without a positive off switch. The unit works well otherwise, but I never would have purchased this model if I knew that there wasn't a positive off feature.
