9 best honeywell baseboard heaters
Honeywell baseboard heaters are electric space heaters designed to provide supplemental or zone heating in residential or commercial spaces. These heaters are a part of the Honeywell brand, which is known for its range of heating and cooling products. Here are some key features and information about Honeywell baseboard heaters:
Electric Heating: Honeywell baseboard heaters operate on electricity and are typically hardwired into the electrical system of a building. They do not require the use of fuel, such as gas or oil, making them a convenient and clean heating option.
Baseboard Design: These heaters are called "baseboard" heaters because they are typically installed along the baseboards or close to the floor of a room. This design allows for efficient heat distribution by taking advantage of the natural convection process, where cool air is drawn in from the bottom and warm air rises.
Multiple Models: Honeywell offers a variety of baseboard heater models with different heating capacities and features. This allows customers to choose a heater that best suits the size and heating needs of their space.
Thermostat Control: Many Honeywell baseboard heaters come with built-in thermostats or are compatible with external thermostats. Thermostatic control allows users to set and maintain the desired room temperature, providing energy-efficient heating.
Safety Features: These heaters often include safety features such as overheat protection and a thermal cutoff switch. These features help prevent overheating and ensure the safe operation of the heater.
Quiet Operation: Honeywell baseboard heaters are designed to operate quietly, making them suitable for bedrooms, living rooms, offices, and other areas where minimal noise is preferred.
Durable Construction: They are typically constructed with durable materials and finishes to withstand the rigors of everyday use and resist damage from moisture and corrosion.
Easy Installation: Installation of Honeywell baseboard heaters typically involves mounting the units to the wall and connecting them to the electrical supply. It's important to follow the manufacturer's installation instructions and safety guidelines.
Energy Efficiency: Electric baseboard heaters are generally considered energy-efficient because they convert nearly all the electricity they use into heat. However, their efficiency may be affected by factors like insulation and the thermostat settings.
Maintenance: Regular maintenance may include cleaning the heater's surface and ensuring that there is no obstruction around the unit to allow for proper airflow.
Warranty: Honeywell baseboard heaters often come with warranties that cover parts and labor for a specific period. The warranty terms can vary depending on the model and region, so it's advisable to check the warranty details before purchasing.
Honeywell baseboard heaters are a reliable choice for providing supplemental heat to individual rooms or zones within a building. They are commonly used in homes, offices, and other spaces where localized heating is needed. Choosing the right model and correctly installing and maintaining the heater are essential for efficient and safe operation.

User questions & answers
Question: | Will it allow you to set temp limits and lock controls and only allow users to adjust temps |
Answer: | No, it's not that sophisticated. But, it does a very good job of regulating temps for electric wall heaters. |
Question: | Is this Thermostat rated at 22 amps |
Answer: | Not sure of the amp rating, but I use it to control 2, 2000W heaters (4000W total) on a 220V/30A circuit. |
Question: | does it have manual on off switch...can it be shut off |
Answer: | No it does not |
Question: | Is this a double pole (opens both sides of the 240-Volt feed), or single pole (opens only one side of the 240-Volt feed |
Answer: | single |
Question: | Sometimes I find the screen blank and when I press a button it displays 15 and then 22 and then goes back to normal. It is something wrong maybe |
Answer: | Assuming you have your unit set to c rather than f those may be normal numbers. If that is true then the first number after sleep mode would be set temp and second would be actual temp. |
Question: | Confused on the wiring. I have three wires black, white, and red. This unit only has two wires. So what goes where |
Answer: | Hi Beth, the first thing you need to know is that having a black, white, and red wire is perfectly normal in a 240 volt circut, and this unit is designed to accomodate both a 2-wire and 3-wire install. I have installed several of these units in my shore house and all of the installations were two wire. Since in many cases a picture is worth a thousand words, copy and paste the following link into your computers browser and have a look at the pictures for both the 2-wire and 3-wire insallation. I think when you see the 3-wire installation diagram your question will be answered. I hope this helps and wish you the best of luck. https://customer.honeywell.com/resources/techlit/TechLitDocuments/69-0000s/69-1917EF.pdf |
Question: | I can hear pinging sounds the baseboard used to make every 30ish min(old tstat) now every 15 seconds once it reaches the desired temp. Is this normal |
Answer: | The pinging is heater expansion, most newish baseboards have none. With fan setting on, unit cycles with a total on-off cycle length of 5 mnutes. With fan setting off, it cycles length is 15 seconds. I use with the longer setting on all my 4 thermostats, no effect felt on room temp fluctuations. Slight dimming of some room lights on sensitive dimming switches less annoying. |
Question: | Has anybody noticed a difference in the electric usage between these and the old mercury, analog thermostats (i.e. lower electric bill |
Answer: | First bill after installation was 3.00 more. However, the weather has been colder. I set the thermos at 50 degrees and leave for the winter. Old thermos were never precise and could have been set lower as I was questing. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Can I manually override the preprogrammed setting |
Answer: | Yes, as it removes stains on the toilet without scratching the porcelain surface. |
Question: | I currently have a 120v thermostat that turns a hot water pump on and off. I want to replace it with a programmable one. will this work |
Answer: | I'm not sure why you would use it on a kitchen sink when there are a lot of non abrasive products to clean the sink. These are sold to clean toilets, which get very hard water in them, for some strange reason. Since water sits in a toilet that does give it time to form that difficult ring to remove at times. If you really felt the need to use something this abrasive, I would try a very small area at the bottom front (closest to you) and see what the outcome is. I would first put the stopper in the sink and pour in two gallons of vinegar then fill up above where you are having problems with whatever stains with water. Leave it over night and see if this solution has solved your problem. Vinegar is very inexpensive and much easier to replace than a sink. It is amazing how it will dissolve hard water, then you can just pull the plug and get the benefits of vinegar in your water lines also. If that doesn't work then go on with the "hard stuff" Good luck! |
Question: | what is the difference between the Th104/U and the TH106/U |
Answer: | I do not believe this will remove the scratches as you may have damaged the porcelain finish. This product did not scratch my toilet when I used it. |
Question: | Does this unit require batteries or is it hard wired |
Answer: | Hi There! No this is to be used on non granite surfaces. If you have any further questions we'd be happy to help. Please email us at [email protected]. Thanks! |
