Answer:	I think it is rigid, I did not over tighten the screws as I did not want to crack it. The material is similar to all my other wall plates.

Answer:	If you remove original plate and switch, it will cover the box that the switch was in. I used it after removing switch and twisting wires together so there was not a switch any longer.

Question:	does this unit require an install box and is that included? thx
Answer:	I noted someone below stating they got the largest one and they can only run one water source at a time. My guess is they installed it wrong by not getting the electric hooked up right, or maybe the unit was just defective, or they live in Alaska. I went under size with an Eco 27 a few years ago because that’s all my electric panel could handle. We have zero issues in the summer. During winter months we can only run one shower at a time and have to slowly fill a tub (maybe 3/4 fill speed). To save as much money as I am on electric bill and have unlimited shower lengths (only 1 person at a time mid-Dec to mid-March) is totally worth it. On here today because I’m thinking of upping my panel size so was thinking of going with a larger one now. Regardless, CCRC’s experience with the largest unit not working is nothing like the experience I’ve had, and again I intentionally undersized mine for the house. The website has a clear chart to explain size you need based on number of water fixtures in your home and ground water temperature.
Question:	Does the thermostat have full OFF position, or is Low the lowest setting
Answer:	In the lower states it can, but in the northern states, multiple simultaneous users, it will be overloaded. If you can afford a 3,700 square foot home, then you can place a unit in each appropriate demand zone and be very glad you did. I love mine, live in KY, get great supply when the water is above 60 degrees, and then it slows the flow as the temperature drops. I have dishwasher, washing machine, garden tube, 2 showers, 3 sinks and 4 people. It is better than great in the summer, okay spring and fall, and we are conservative in the winter.
Question:	Will this fit flush with a wall that has a 2 by 4 stud? The Fahrenheat wall heaters don't seem to
Answer:	The instantaneous power consumption while the hot water is running is quite high (up to 18kW or 27kW depending on which model you’re looking at on this page). However, when no hot water is being used, the power consumption is 0 (or a minuscule amount to run an LED light or something). The total power consumption over the course of several days or longer should be much lower than a tank heater but the short term power usage while the heater is making hot water will be much higher than a tank heater. It’s just that the unit sits idle most of the time while a tank heater will use power fairly frequently even when no hot water is needed as the water in the tank cools off over time and needs to be re-heater fairly constantly

Answer:	You need to remove any of the packaging material, the log sits on a metal compartment, nothing else. Remove anything plastic.

The Technology

Question:	How long is the power cord
Answer:	Short answer is maybe 2, but 2 can still trip your breaker if its on the same circuit (each room is typically a different circuit) and running at 100%. This depends on your circuit, most are 15A or 20A. Loosely the math is 120V * 15A = 1800W. In the 1800W scenario you can have 1.8 of these units running at full capacity. At 120V * 20A = 2400W you can have 2.4 of these heating units at full capacity. Given you may have other appliances in the room on the circuit you might not be able to run 2 of these units if that is the case. Best bet is to get one for each circuit (typically by room) or move up to the 1500W model for each circuit.
Question:	Would this be good for a small bathroom that is unheated and has cold tile floor? Would infrared be better
Answer:	Cord in on the bottom.
Question:	Can this be used in an outdoor, glass-covered sunroom that does not have heat
Answer:	I have used this heater continuously for a few weeks. In a small uninsulated area approximately 200 sq. ft. it has done very well. very simple to operate and safe, light and easy to mount it will cost you the use of 110v outlet.
Question:	Does the front of the unit get hot
Answer:	It is small but powerful for it's size. It's about two feet high and a foot and a half wide, only a few inches deep. It mounts on the wall in just a couple minutes, very easy to put up. I use a couple space heaters in my small home because it's old and doesn't have a central heat source. There are two, small electric base board heaters for the whole house and the space heaters do a good job of compensating. I live up north and we are experiencing wind chills of up to 50 below zero at times. On those INSANELY cold days it does take two space heaters to heat our home. However, when the temperature is up to 20 above or more, the Heat Storm does fine on it's own.
