Answer:	You can do water changes but I wouldn't recommend running anything but water through the impellers. The pump has to be completely immersed to function. You may end up with 4 to 6 inches of water on the bottom of the tank or pond.
Question:	How do you unload this if you are using a wood ring? Typically I carry my wood in on my arms and just put them directly in the ring
