Answer:	I would NEVER put paint n the inside of a grill. I have been grilling and smoking eat for 35 years. For the outside it's OK but never paint the inside. Get a round wire brush for your drill and brush it clean. Coat the inside of your grill with Canola oil. Oil and season it by cranking up the heat with no food. Let it get to a very high temp for at least 45 minutes to an hour for a proper seasoning. Then you will be ready to cook. Cleaning of the hood is not really required of a smoker or grill. Best of luck. Smoke rolling here today. 6 racks of baby backs, 2 pork buttts and 20 chicken quarters. I love it.

Answer:	I brushed it onto the stainless steel stove pipe so it would match our stove. With 2 coats, I havent noticed any brush marks, but I havent gotten right up on it. From 2-3 feet away, it just looks matted black, and you dont get the runs you'll get with spray paint.

Answer:	We used this paint on our firewall in our fire place and it worked great. Really gave the fireplace a new, clean look. The paint is a flat finish so using it for stove grates may not look attractive. Our gas stove grates have a factory high gloss finish and wipe clean very easily. I suggest you go to Rutland's website and see if the paint is available in other finishes. Good Luck.

Answer:	It will definitely adhere to the brick. I have used it inside my fireplaces on several new homes to keep the firebox black. It will eventually burn off in some places on so I just repaint it every couple of years.

Answer:	Good to know about not using it inside a fireplace. The description said it was "Adheres to steel, cast iron, aluminum, brick, and most other metals" and I almost bought it for the bricks inside my fireplace!

Answer:	It'll work on wood but it won't give wood MORE fire resistance than it has already (which isn't much). Wood combusts at about 300° F so this paint is way overkill, the wood will long be burned away while the paint stays. Get the regular "High Heat" paint (this one is "High Heat Max"). This is designed for metal that get's hot so the paint itself won't burn off. The real question is why do you have a flammable lid for a FIRE pit?

Question:	Can you use this on a wood burning fireplace firebox
Answer:	Yes especially if it is an alloy box but if the box is made of wood you might want to seal and prime it with the high temperature primer first and make sure that there are no cracks before you go over it with the rust oleum high temp paint, for best results!
Question:	Can I use this paint to spray the outside of a wood burning stove
Answer:	I bought 6 cabs and did my gas grill inside and out. After it cured, I ran it for 30 minutes without food. I have a "holder" to grill fish so I am using that for all cooking so I and not cooking directly on the painted area. If after a month it holds up, I will do test cooking on it directly for the stray cats.
Question:	Paint scratches off very easily 2 days later, even after curing at 200 and 400 degrees. Prepped with degreaser and 150 grit sandpaper. What could I have done wrong
Answer:	You did not do anything wrong. This particular paint is not durable at all, but it withstands very very high temps. If you need high heat AND durability, then you need to look into some of the high heat Cerakote and Duracoat products, which are much more involved in applying than this is. I just answered another question on here, and in that answer I mentioned watching YouTube vids of ppl using this paint. In this vids, you'll see they are very delicate w the painted objects after cured when re-installing the object in a car engine compartment, for example. The ONLY thing this paint is good at is withstanding very high heat and being applied relatively easily and cheaply. Ps. I guess I should mention that this product is sometimes sold as an "enamel" but this particular paint is not truly what you'd call an enamel. Enamel implies high durability, and this does not have high durability.
Question:	What temperatures are required to cure the paint multiple times at various temperatures in an oven? Will the final coating survive any contact with food
Answer:	24 hours AFTER painted - place in oven one hour @ 175 degrees. A second curing a few hours later is sometimes helpful.Any contact with food in either direction is bad. (part to food / food to part)Make sure wife is out of town.Cook 2 or 3 pizzas one after another to help disguise smell.

How to choose the right size screen for your fireplace:



Just measure the height and width of your current screen (not including hanger rings) and order the same height screen. Condar's hanger rings will add half inch (1 cm) to total height.



Buying a screen and already have a rod installed?



If you already have a rod installed, measure the height of your fireplace opening to the top of the rod. Subtract ½ inch (1 cm) for the hanger rings below the rod, and approximately ½ inch (1 cm) for clearance at the bottom (1 inch: 3 cm total).



Condar fireplace screens do not include a rod.



If you don’t have a fireplace screen rod installed, choose the Rod and Valance Kit (ASIN: B0039ZD9O2). Question:	Does the 21" height include the 1/2" mounting rings
Answer:	IT is more for rearranging the logs in the fireplace that are burning...handles one small log at best. Definitely not for any heavy lifting...maybe 2lbs.
Question:	Does the mesh screen include the small rings? Just to clarify, do I need to allow for another 1/2" in height. So 21" opening needs a 20" screen
Answer:	Yes they do fully close, however they MAY not be able to grasp small objects. There are 3 tongs 1 on the right, 1 on the left and the 1 that moves in the center. All 3 tongs do not meet in the center, the center tongs passes in between the right and left. They work perfectly moving wood around in a fire ring. So it really depends on how your planning on using it.
Question:	my current screen mesh is 21 inches tall what size do i order
Answer:	Not in my experience, we are on our 2nd log grabber (first one lasted 5 years) and haven't experienced any rust when left outside at our firepit. We live in New England so it gets a fair share of moisture.
Question:	The screeen I am replacing measures 21 1/2" high. Should I purchase 21" or 22" high
Answer:	We really only use it for moving logs in the fire pit. I would suppose it would depend on the size of yard debris you are trying to move.
