Question:	Does this product has glassfiber
Answer:	No it will not help with smoke. It will collect about 40% of tar, that is about it. The carbon Monoxide and everything else will go right through. Your sister needs to smoke outside. (Ex-Smoker of 25 years)

Answer:	The package does not say, but it is a synthetic..probably polyester or rayon. Definitely not cotton or wool. You could call NordicPure 800-590-0339 and ask them, or email them at [email protected]. By the way...it is still working great. I am so glad I found these. Does not filter 100% of the dust, but definitely helps. Good luck.

Answer:	They will certainly reduce the airflow from your furnace or air conditioner....so yes they will cut down the pet hair and dander but they will also cut down the amount of air you are getting.

Answer:	We have a forced air A/C and heating system, the kind that you hear the air blowing. The covers don't appear to block the air flow, but we installed the covers on the outside, on top of the vent. I don't know if they will burn the blower. We live in Northern CA and do not run the A/C or heating all the time.

Answer:	I can't recall seeing the merv rating but it is a very thin mesh filter. Can't imagine the merv rating is very high and it probably shouldn't be or else it would not allow proper air flow.

Answer:	Actually I just did that, I toke out the air filter and then remove all the remaining fibers from the damage filter. After that I bound the sheets I just cut and the filter with some velcro. It's been working for over a week and I'm happy about it... hope works for you too...

Answer:	I would only use them in half of my vents. If you use them in both there may be some furnace issues or problems.

Answer:	these are filtering out particles that flow through your air duct. You need something to remove smoke from going into the cold air return before it gets to the airduct.

Question:	Can I use this material (cut to size) to replace the motor filter in a older canister style Miele vacuum cleaner
Answer:	You should be able to if you can cut it to fit I use mine as a furance filter
Question:	Can this be put inside the air opening of a window AC unit to block out the light that comes through the vent
Answer:	I would rate its opacity to approx. 70%-80% (when clean and new). Remember, this is designed to trap small dust particles. As it does its job, it will become more opaque as well as not pass air efficiently.
Question:	Does this filter have an odor if it’s in the ceiling vebts
Answer:	This filter helps to reduce odors.
Question:	Can I use this filter for mask(face mask) liner
Answer:	Because of the micron size of viruses, only very specific masks have any chance of filtering them out-and even those ones HAVE to be professionally fitted to have any efficacy (like the N95-which even when professionally fitted and used properly only stops 95% of virus micron size) and MUST be worn under very strict guidelines otherwise it offers no more virus protection than the cloth and surgical masks- which do not do not stop virus micron size from getting thru at all. To actually stop virus micron size you will either have to invest in a professionally fitted N95 and strictly follow the wearing protocol or to purchase a professionally rated respirator that guarantees to filter micron size of 0.01 or under (such as what virologists use in labs). Do not forget that viruses enter thru mucous membranes and so eye protection (such as goggles) will also be a MUST if you want to be truly protected from anything with a virus micron size. Answer:	Hello. The air vent filters can filter dust. And they can also work for dust or pollen allergens. But not work for other more minute ones.

Question:	Can't see the demensions what are they
Answer:	It fits 3” by 10” and 4” by 10” according to the package. It also says they can be trimmed to fit standard size vents. I have standard vents and they fit well.
Question:	What does 90 Wattage mean
Answer:	Not sure 90 Wattage mean, but I have use them over10 years and never had a problem them. They really do work.
Question:	Does this product have a merv rating
Answer:	I have no idea---I've never even heard of that. All I can tell you is that they're junk! I had to double them up, they're so thin. Used 2 in each vent to equal ONE of the kind I've bought in years past in Lowe's or Home Depot.
Question:	Would it reduce airflow, strain the system and increase utilities bill ? Thanks
Answer:	It does reduce air flow a bit. Therefore, I don't put one in every vent but rather just a few. I have not noticed any strain on the HVAC system nor an increase in the utility bill. However, I only have the filter in about 3 or 4 vents out of a total of 13 vents.

Question:	Can you wash or sanitize this material
Answer:	If you wash it, you destroy its filtration capacity. You CAN wash it, but it will no longer serve its specialized purpose.
Question:	How do I install on vent? Picture shows some type of tab on vent
Answer:	I didn't see any tabs in my package. I used velcro in the corners on top the of vents. Then on a larger vent, I removed the vent and placed the material over the vent hole then replaced the vent cover. It's really simple and it holds in place.
Question:	How does this attach/stay in place
Answer:	I cut it to fit over the vents on the outside of my furnace door and tape the sides. This works so good. I can see when its starting to get dirty, so I know when to change it. It doesn't hamper air flow either.
