Answer:	I'm not sure about the shelf life. Never thought about it and you bring up a good point. I usually buy the 8 or 12 pack because we need to change out the filters every three weeks. I actually have two large, 23 cup dispensers. One is in the refrigerator, and other is left out for cooking, so we go through them quickly. One thing about the one not in the refrigerator - it does start to develop a moldy smell, I suppose from the moist condition of the filter and room temperature combined. I wash it out regularly as a result. I read other reviews stating the same problem with the larger dispensers that are left out of the refrigerator, so I suspect the problem is universal and not specific to this product. Customer service is excellent, so if you would like to call them and ask, I'm sure they would be more than happy to answer. (800).503.2939.

When I opened the sealed white plastic wrap, and opened the top, the filter was WET...I decided to put it on my unit and use it anyway, but tested it before consumed..the reading was "69"...I am returning the entire 4 filters and will deal only with zero water company directly.

The tap water measures about 180-200 ppm on the meter, and it lasts me about 2 months per filter, around 40-50 gallons, I would estimate.

Answer:	There is an airtight seal that covers the openings on the filter. As long as the seal is in place it will be fine for a long time. Just store in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight (a cabinet in your kitchen would work fine probably) and it should be fine for the 12 months or so before you install the last one (6 mo for the first, 6 mo for the second, 3rd one installed at 12 months).

Answer:	Many of the filters will tell you that they are certified to ANSI 42 (if they claim a certification at all). Pretty meaningless if you are looking to remove contaminants because that standard is only for odor/taste, i.e. chlorine. Most of the pollutants still get through the cheap filters. You really want one that is at least certified for ANSI 53 to remove contaminants. Looking this one up on the EveryDrop web site shows its certifications to include ANSI 53.

Answer:	Due to the design of it, the lock bar most likely won't snap in place if anything is placed between the filter and the case. Some saw dust is normal. It's a design flaw unfortunately. Honestly haven't had any running issues from the way it is set up.

Answer:	I don't know what the demoralization cartridge 7531 is. My Boneco humidifier is an older one and the filter I used for it had to be replaced every month of so. This filter costs less and lasts much longer - mine was good for the entire winter.

Answer:	I really don't think it matters. I just slide it in. For the price, you cannot beat it. This way I use it fresh filter every day.

Answer:	They are not allowed to omit listing fiberglass from something you are breathing through. When cut or torn (after use) there are no tell tail fibers in the edges that are indicators of fiberglass. You can feel comfortable knowing you have additional layers of protection.

Answer:	I use mine for several weeks before changing it. I however have started double masking in the last month. I use a pleated 3 ply mask and then a cloth mask with this filter. I have not contracted COVID-19, but I also follow strict social distancing guidelines including not eating inside restaurants or be without my mask in any public place.
Question:	What packaging, is the quality good
Answer:	well , they are disposable.. personally once i feel they are a bit worn out .. i think around after 8 hours of use - replace them. They are fine filters and fit perfectly to the copper mask with pocket ( by 'Copper 29') that i purchased. both are very good and give extra protection.

Answer:	If it says Aprilaire in blue beneath the product title it is supposed to be the OEM product by Aprilaire. Atomic Filters sells the OEM on this listing. If you order this and do not get the OEM, report the seller to Amazon or contect the seller in advance and ask if it comes in the Aprilaire box. The OEM part comes in an Aprilaire box(boxes may vary).
Question:	does this product contain any fiberglass and can it be used in mask filtration
Answer:	These are genuine Aprilaire OEM filters. The reviewer who stated otherwise is either incorrect or posted his/her review on the wrong product page.
Question:	Excuse me .. what it merv means
Answer:	For those reading, the question as it pertains to the "old" filter may be a reference to the Aprilaire 2210 air cleaner assembly before the upgrade kit is installed. The old filter was a pain in the azz to replace; this new filter slides in in 60 seconds. The filter fits some other air cleaners, but mine is an Aprilaire 2210 from 2002 with the upgrade kit. I am guessing that newer Aprilaire cleaners dropped the old design and use filters like this one.

Answer:	If you have animals that shed or a lot of dust in your home it is every 2 to 3 months (AT MOST)that you HAVE to change it and it is very important to open it and check it every couple days because the filter gets clogged with hair or dust and just starts blowing dirt and lint all over your house until you notice it's clogged😢

Answer:	See if Amazon has the option to notify you when they come back in stock. One way I have extended the life of filters for mine is to turn it off & remove filter from unit & use a soft duster to remove some of the debris & give it a little shake. Also use your soft duster to clean area where filter goes and also clean the front of unit. Maybe also have it run on low, this might help until they come back in stock Hope this helps!
