Answer:	Recommend getting smaller size. Cover iselasticized on outer edge, meant to fit snug. The tighter size will fit just right and keep out those breezes you want to avoid. That's what we did, they're snug and protective!!

Answer:	My unit measured 25 x 16 x 3. It fits ok since they do have elastic to tighten cover. It is true to size so I think you would have problem with the cover It is a nice cover. Made well. .

Answer:	I haven't yet, but it says you can. Living in Wisconsin when the leaves fall or spring maple seeds drop, the weather is still cool enough that I don't need to run the AC.

Answer:	The one I got hass a double layer of material: fabric on the inside and upholstery fabric on the outside, with an elastic around the edge that holds the whole thing onto the indoor part of the air conditioner. I also cover the *outside* of the a/c with a separately purchased plastic cover to help keep the cold air outdoors in the winter. The combination of this indoor cover and a separately purchased outdoor cover keeps the room pretty comfortable and draft free.
Question:	How well will it fit a 18x12x2? Does it have a draw string to tighten
Answer:	We used it on a 18x14x2 unit. So height was exact but 3" less width. Worked fine, no drawstring. Can't say it will work as well when you are also going short in two dimensions. Maybe, but might keep looking. Good luck.
