Answer:	The red light will be on as long as it is connected and switch (main source) is turned on. You just need to press the button on the humidifier to make it work for vapor and light.

Answer:	I just purchased mine and read the label. It makes no sense to say distilled water will cause blocking but tap water won't. I'll be using distilled because it will not leave the deposits tap water would for me.

Answer:	Are you using fresh water each day? I've had this for a month or so and haven't notched that.. I rinse it out and put fresh water in it each night, and have given it a good clean once a a week. I use young living thieves cleaner.. I spray the inside and use a small scrub brush and spray with the kitchen faucet sprayer.

Answer:	Great question!! And the cleaning instructions ignore that part. So I did a little experiment. I tapped off the hole on the top, poured vinegar down the hole and voila!! I ran hot water down the hole to flush off all the remaining mineral build up. So, that worked for me....I'll bet your home is spotless!!

Answer:	Don't buy this item. It melt. I used filtered water for my first time ( and very last time) for 2 hours. And I could not open it ! Read my review and you should see the picture. I returned the item and get a totally "not cute" one. But works perfectly.

Question:	Can you put essential oil in it
Answer:	Yes, this unit doe shave an indicator light that will be on green when the humidifier is turned on and producing mist and then a red light to indicate the unit is out of water.
Question:	The music and humidifier do not turn on. I have clicked the back and top buttons and neither work except for the lights. Could I fix this
Answer:	Yes, I have the elephant and frog and there is a small pool in the base with each unless you leave it on long enough to use all of the water. The light will turn red when it is out of water. If you don't run it that long, you can try filling the tank with less water so you don't have to dump the base each day.
Question:	What water do I need? Can I use tap water
Answer:	YES, I use essential oils in mine...I clean it regularly with vinegar water. I put a few drops of oils in the bottom reservoir instead of the tank. yes I understand that the users guild says not to use oils in their products but I have used the "Owl" humidifier for 2+ years now with oils and no problems...just be aware that if u decide to use oils you might kill your humidifier in the looonnnngggg run-and yes like the other person who answered this question there are other products that might be better to use with oils...as for me I also have a "NOW ultrasonic oil diffuser" that works great in other rooms on my house. Answer:	Both of the ones I ordered had no plastic smell at all. We use distilled water in ours and it had no scent.

Question:	Can I just use it as a night light separately? Water left in base
Answer:	Out of the box it looked cream to me and I was upset at first. But my family said it looked yellow to them so I kept it. But once I put it in my room (where the walls are clearly yellow), it definitely appears yellow, and looks great. I actually love it and am happy I kept it!

Answer:	Color is exactly what I wanted, looks like pic - however very very thin and super slippery to walk on (dangerously so) Also because it is so thin they are able to shrink-wrap and place in a very small box - after 5 days the folds had still not disappeared. You get what you pay for - have sadly returned

Answer:	Yes however, I recommend you let it air dry and preferably after first time to hand wash or a hand carpet cleaner. The fabric is fragile more so on the bottom of rug and may that I foresee it ruined quickly if machine washed more than once. Hope this helps.

Music control: when the USB cable is connected, the background music is turned on at the maximum volume by default. Press the music button the music volume is mid, press again the music the music volume is min. Then Press the music is turned on, and then press the music is turned off. Then cycle is in this order.
