Answer:	There are adapters that can reduce the fitting size to accommodated the installation kit. You should be able to connect the kit anywhere you can install the adapter after the shut off valve.
Question:	Is this lead free
Answer:	The smallest size you will easily be able to find is probably 1/2" tube strap. Best practice is to use similar materials together which for this application would be plastic. The tube will lay on the straps without being pinched.

Answer:	The tee is made with lead-free brass. This item is NSF 61 certified, which is required by plumbing codes & standards. This product is safe to use for potable water! Answer:	There is a jumper in the unit that allows for either 110 or 220. It's easy to switch. Certainly the unit delivers more steam with 220, but with 110 the unit is way more efficient than the old TruSteam units. I rum my units on 110 and they work very well.

Question:	Does it come with every thing need for a typical installation
Answer:	No. You'll need 1/4" copper tubing, 6" duct tubing to go from supply side of humidifier to the return air duct, a suitable 6" circular duct to fasten to the hole you'll make in the return air duct, bell wire to run from controller to voltage reduction transformer. Do yourself a favor and get a roll of foil tape for taping up seams and leaks.
Question:	I have a 2600 sqft home built in 1989, and am considering getting the Aprilaire 500 vs the 600. Is that a wise choice
Answer:	Works quite well in my 2300 sf house. Was built in '92 so not too old but still not as sealed up tight like recent construction. From what I have observed, the humidifier doesn't run all the time and humidity levels have stayed constant even with fluctuating outside temps.
Question:	can the humidifier bypass duct be on either side ?? The pictures all show it "by passing" to the left - i need it to the right
Answer:	Yes, it can be changed from left to right. Basically turn the main part of the unit upside down and switch the drain and plug from top to bottom. The name plaque can be removed and installed right side up. Quite simple design.
Question:	How often do you have to buy new parts? Filters? Etc. And what do they run you each year
Answer:	I don't mean to say the same thing over again, Patrick said the same thing I'm going to say, but a new pad is all you will need in this unit. I'm also a hvac technican and April air 600ms are our humidifier of choice. I've seen some people who have such bad water the pad gets clogged mid winter, and I've also seen people who have bad water and have been using the same pad for years. rule of thumb to get the most out of your unit is to change the pad every year. You could get away with longer but why would you when you can get replacement pads for cheap at home depot. To install you will need 2 6" 90's, 6" flex duct, 1" zip screws, 2 wire, 3/4 inch pvc with fittings and glue, small piece of 1/2" vinyl tubing (optional), and a pair of tin snips. I would suggest hiring a professional unless you're an avid do it yourself type of person, but it's defiantly something a average homeowner COULD do with enough time and YouTube videos. As far as the solenoid, it almost never goes bad, like Patrick said they usually last around 10 years. I've seen some go bad in as little as 2 but those are 1 in 100 and factory defected. I hope this helps someone down the line.

Question:	Do I disconnect G from furnace board and plug straight into the model 60 control? Also can I use the transformer already there
Answer:	Yes, you are partially correct. The actions are thus; Remove the thermostat "G" wire from the furnace terminalstrip and wire it to "G" on the Model 60 control.* Wire "Gf" on the Model 60 to "G" on the furnace terminalstrip. Also, you may use the 24v supply on the furnace control board, if it rated for enough amperage. If not, wire in the external transformer.Check your furnace manual.
Question:	If I use the wiring schematics listed on the manual, will that turn on the blower and not the furnace? Or what wiring schematic do I need
Answer:	If you use the schematic listed for "Automatic" operation (i.e. intercept the "G" wire between the thermostat and the furnace, putting the new humidistat in between) then this unit will be able to use the furnace blower without firing the furnace. Tapping into the hot water supply (instead of cold) is recommended if you use this feature. My 700 is installed this way and works very well in this configuration.

Answer:	For any humidifier to work at its best and quickly increase the humidity to desired level, it needs to be on hot air side after your furnace. Hot air captures maximum humidity compared to cold air.

Answer:	Imagine a screen door with a breeze blowing through it.Now take a hose and dribble water along the top of the screen. Surface tension will make the water fan out and coat the screen, however some water will find its way to the ground.Now that breeze coming through the screen door will evaporate some of the water and become more humid. Crud is less likely to build up on the screen because it is being constantly washed by he water that makes it to the bottom.So that's "exactly" how this humidifier works. 1.Choose convenient cold water supply line

2.Install saddle valve, following those instructions carefully. 1/4" hole must be drilled if installing onto steel pipe

3.Connect copper tubing to saddle valve using brass sleeve
