Answer:	I don’t know if there are actual health benefits. I know the aroma only last a few hours and then is gone. We tried the eucalyptus pads.

Question:	Does this come with the humidifying packs
Answer:	Yes, the humidifying packs are pictured on the box. Two fabric holders are sent to suspend the packs inside your guitar. Of course, you must keep your guitar in a relatively air-tight case for the system to work. The packs are designed to keep the relative humidity between the recommended 45 to 55 percent. I use a room humidity gauge to determine whether the packs are needed.
Question:	I have been using these for 10 months and they are still not dried out. Can they last that long
Answer:	Yes, depending on the environment the guitar is kept. Although I don’t wait until the packets turn to stone before changing them. I usually change the packets when they feel a bit crunchy.
Question:	Can I use this in an electric acoustic guitar
Answer:	This product is for use in any hollow body guitar, especially during the Winter months when the heat is on and the wood tends to dry out. You MUST use a humidifier to keep the wood (especially the guitar top) of your instrument from cracking. I use this D'Addario humidifier on my custom but D-45 with excellent results.
Question:	Can you reuse the packs, like after they get hard could you put them in a humid environment and re humidify them
Answer:	Yes they can. I have been using these for years and I rotate between sets. One set is in the instrument case while the other is recharging. To recharge, get two Tupperware containers one large and one small. The smaller one (without its lid) needs to fit into the large one so that its lid can be closed. Add about 1/2 inch of water to the larger container and put the packs needed to be recharged in the smaller one, put the smaller container in the larger one and seal it. It takes about 2-3 weeks to recharge a pack that's hardened into new condition. I use humidity meters in the cases to spot check and there is no difference between a new humidipak and a recharged one. If you get the packets wet BTW, the gig is up. You have to throw them out and replace them. I get 2-3 years of service from a set of 3 before they start to fall apart. I live in Ohio BTW, so I only need them for half the year.

Answer:	No. You'll need 1/4" copper tubing, 6" duct tubing to go from supply side of humidifier to the return air duct, a suitable 6" circular duct to fasten to the hole you'll make in the return air duct, bell wire to run from controller to voltage reduction transformer. Do yourself a favor and get a roll of foil tape for taping up seams and leaks.
Question:	How do I contact the Seller
Answer:	Works quite well in my 2300 sf house. Was built in '92 so not too old but still not as sealed up tight like recent construction. From what I have observed, the humidifier doesn't run all the time and humidity levels have stayed constant even with fluctuating outside temps.
Question:	Is this item eligible for returns
Answer:	Yes, it can be changed from left to right. Basically turn the main part of the unit upside down and switch the drain and plug from top to bottom. The name plaque can be removed and installed right side up. Quite simple design.
Question:	Can you direct the steam or does it come straight out the top
Answer:	I don't mean to say the same thing over again, Patrick said the same thing I'm going to say, but a new pad is all you will need in this unit. I'm also a hvac technican and April air 600ms are our humidifier of choice. I've seen some people who have such bad water the pad gets clogged mid winter, and I've also seen people who have bad water and have been using the same pad for years. rule of thumb to get the most out of your unit is to change the pad every year. You could get away with longer but why would you when you can get replacement pads for cheap at home depot. To install you will need 2 6" 90's, 6" flex duct, 1" zip screws, 2 wire, 3/4 inch pvc with fittings and glue, small piece of 1/2" vinyl tubing (optional), and a pair of tin snips. I would suggest hiring a professional unless you're an avid do it yourself type of person, but it's defiantly something a average homeowner COULD do with enough time and YouTube videos. As far as the solenoid, it almost never goes bad, like Patrick said they usually last around 10 years. I've seen some go bad in as little as 2 but those are 1 in 100 and factory defected. I hope this helps someone down the line.

Answer:	I put it between the d and g strings. I use my thumb and index fingers on my left hand to push the stings apart. Set the oasis where flat piece rests on the sthings then gently release the stings on the fill cap. Reverse to remove. Use it for 8 years. No problems.

Answer:	this machine only humidifies the room with cool mist, putting some moisture in the air, so the air is not so dry - it does not make the room cool. it is not for air-conditioning.

Answer:	It has a built in alarm to tell you to clean it every three days. Wipe it out and run some vinegar water through it to help remove mineral build up.

Answer:	I had it about a week. Let me say, after letting it sit overnight, it did start up again. Interesting that it did spritz water up into the center tube, along with the mist. After about 5 or 10 minutes the mist alone eventually made its way up the tube and out. I am still using it, realizing it seems to be the way it operated. I would recommend these humidifiers. I'm sorry the brush indicated to be included, was not, leaving me wondering what type brush to use: soft, hard, what?

Question:	Can you use this in a guitar that is in it's case standing vertical on it's side
Answer:	Interesting. I think you mean to put the humidifier in the Strings and store the case in different positions? Yep. I think that works. You know, I didn’t feel good about pushing this into the strings and I decided to place the humidifier in the case somewhere. It works but maybe wrap it in a thin cloth so it doesn’t rattle around free and mark your nice guitar. I highly recommend calling them as I did. ( I got a sponge that was a little big). They are extremely nice and would answer all of your questions. I think I like this the best of all the humidifiers. I go the ones that were in a pack that would take away or give proper humidity. They claim that the packages are rarely broken and leak. Well, I got the “ rarely”. These are just distilled water. Much better.
Question:	Can you run the sponge under the tap or do you need to physically submerge the whole thing
Answer:	You need to submerge the sponge so it's fully saturated, BUT - don't use tap water!! Follow the manufacturer's instructions and use DISTILLED water to help prevent mold on the sponge. :)
Question:	Does the guitar need to be flat, or can it be in a stand
Answer:	I had the same concern when I first bought this, and kept the guitar flat. After a few uses, I trusted the Humitar brand sponge enough to use it with the guitar standing upright, but I always make sure that the sponge isn't dripping wet when I do so - I shake the sponge a few times, and then hold it above a dish or something to make sure it's not dripping, then I install it in the sound hole of my guitar - haven't had any issues. Of course, either way, you want to keep your guitar in it's case (or gig bag) when you use the Humitar. :)
Question:	I have 3. Worked fine for about a year, but then got black spots & guess its mold. I use distilled water. Anyone have this
Answer:	I think the number one rule is to follow the manufacturer's instructions and use DISTILLED water (not tap). Since you say you used distilled water, I also suspect that some people may handle the sponge with less than clean hands and/or they rest the sponge on a less than clean surface. This may be overkill, but lately, before I re-hydrate these sponges, I put them on a clean paper towel, wash my hands, don a pair of vinyl gloves, and then re-wet, shake off the excess water, then insert the sponge back into the holder and place in the sound hole. I own several Humitars, the first one was purchased in 2015, and knock wood (ha-ha) I have yet to experience a mold issue. :)

Answer:	Sponges for this particular humidifier are available at Amazon.
Question:	Can i use purified or spring water or does it absolutely have to be used with distilled water
Answer:	Distilled water does not contain any dissolved minerals while purified or spring water can have some. As the water evaporates, the minerals can leave a film behind. This is the reason behind the distilled water.
Question:	How long does it last, or how often needing refilled
Answer:	It depends on what the humidity is in the room/case. If, the room is very dry (say 20% humidity), you could have to refill every 5 or 6 days. Also, the kind of wood the uke is affects this, too. I find mango ukes to be "thirstier" than mahogany, for example.
Question:	Will this be helpful in a gig bag or must it be a hard case
Answer:	It will be more effective in a hard case, but a gig bag made out of densely knit nylon (which are also water proof to some degree) should work fine. Even putting this in while the instrument is sitting out on a stand or in your will help keep the body of the instrument hydrated internally. If you intend not using your instrument for a week or so, consider putting it back in the gig bag with the device and let it re-humidify. The neck, fret board, and other parts all benefit from doing this. I'm not a Uke player but I am a guitar player of many decades. The concepts are the same.

Answer:	The humidifier works great, accept when you place it in a case, the case interior will absorp moisture. Buy a stand for $15.00 and squeeze out excessive water.
Question:	Can you hang the guitar on the wall with this in it
Answer:	If you set it properly then that should work. I'm not sure why you would want to though - it works best if you keep the guitar in the case. When I hang the guitar on a wall then I make sure the whole room is properly humidified.
Question:	How much water do you add
Answer:	I normally take the sponge out of the holder and soak it in a glass of water while I’m playing. When I’m done I remove the sponge from the glass and shake off the excess water. I then gently pat the sponge with a towel to remove any surface water before it put it back in it’s holder. This way no water can drip in my guitar.
Question:	How long do you soak the sponge in the planet wave gap guitar humidifier? The sponge doesn't seem to soften
Answer:	It takes about 30 mins. But put something over it to make sure it is completly submerged in water.
