10 best aircare home airs
AirCare is a brand known for its home air quality products, primarily humidifiers. These products are designed to help maintain and improve indoor air quality, especially during dry or winter months. Here's what you need to know about AirCare home air products:
Humidifiers: AirCare offers a range of humidifiers that come in various sizes and styles to suit different needs and preferences. Humidifiers are essential for adding moisture to the air in your home, which can be particularly beneficial in dry climates or during the winter when indoor heating systems can lead to low humidity levels. Maintaining proper humidity levels can help alleviate issues such as dry skin, dry throat, sinus congestion, and even reduce static electricity.
Evaporative Humidifiers: Many AirCare humidifiers use an evaporative technology. These humidifiers typically have a wick or filter that absorbs water, and a fan blows air through the wet wick, adding moisture to the air. They are known for being energy-efficient and effective at increasing humidity levels.
Digital Controls: AirCare humidifiers often come equipped with digital controls and displays, making it easy to set and monitor the desired humidity levels in your home. Some models may also include features like a humidistat to automatically adjust humidity based on your settings.
Coverage Area: When choosing an AirCare humidifier, consider the size of the room you intend to use it in. AirCare provides information about the square footage that each model can effectively humidify, so you can select the right size for your space.
Tank Capacity: The tank capacity determines how long a humidifier can run before needing a refill. AirCare humidifiers come in various tank sizes, so you can choose one that suits your preferences and the duration you want the humidifier to operate between refills.
Maintenance: Proper maintenance is essential to ensure the longevity and effectiveness of your AirCare humidifier. This includes regularly cleaning the unit, replacing filters or wicks as needed, and ensuring that it is stored properly when not in use.
Additional Features: Depending on the model, AirCare humidifiers may have additional features such as a built-in timer, adjustable fan speeds, and auto-shutoff when the water level is low.
Accessories: AirCare may offer accessories for their humidifiers, such as replacement filters or wicks, to ensure that your unit continues to function optimally.
AirCare's home air products, particularly their humidifiers, are designed to provide comfort and maintain healthy indoor air quality by regulating humidity levels. Choosing the right model depends on factors like the size of the area you want to humidify and the specific features you desire in a humidifier. Proper usage and maintenance will help you enjoy the benefits of improved indoor air quality in your home.

User questions & answers
Question: | I have had this unit a year and now the F flashes even though it's full. And it doesn't turn on consistently. Any thoughts |
Answer: | There is a plastic tubular piece that should slide up and down to warn water is low (F). Lime / calcium build up and seize it or it doesn't get seated right on the switch. Im going on my third year with this unit. Beats Holmes / Sunbeam, etc. in its ability to cover my 2 bdrm apartment at 45% when its cold and dry outside. The others always end up leaking or making squeaking noises. |
Question: | why does my humidifer show F |
Answer: | Mine did the same thing when I received it. I called the factory in AR and they told me to turn the fan unit upside down and find a silver bar about 2" long. Spring the bar down a little so it will make contact with the water float directly beneath. Spring it ever so slightly and then a second or third time if necessary so as not to damage the switch. Once I did that the fan could be identified as F1, F2, F3, F4, or A. Be sure to plug and unplug the unit each time an adjustment is made so the machine can reset. |
Question: | How often do you need to replace the filter if you run it every day |
Answer: | Once in early November when I get the homie out. Replace it in January. I use both a bacteria stat and a liquid descaler which I squirt a little in when I refill the tank. Avoids smell and makes the filters work better. You can buy them premixed in liquid form. The better your wick works the less the humid will run and presumably it will last longer. I’m still using my old kenmore which I’ve had for several years. |
Question: | does white dust occurs |
Answer: | The "white dust" the questioner is asking about is mineral deposits from water when the water is sprayed into the air. This is an evaporative humidifier where water evaporates off of a wick, not a spray atomizer that sprays water into the air along with the minerals in the water. All of the minerals will remain in the wick of the humidifier, requiring the wick to be replaced. The higher the calcium content in your water, the more frequently you will need to replace the wick. |
Question: | Aren’t these washable |
Answer: | No, they are not washable... |
Question: | Ma1040 superwick by essick air, i am looking for |
Answer: | I think it is. I use it in my tabletop humidifier. |
Question: | Will these fit the d46720 model |
Answer: | It fits the tabletop model that I have which is rated for 1000 sq ft. The next size up available on Amazon is a tower model and the manufacturer info says that model uses dual (I assume that means it takes 2) 1040 filters. Hope this helps |
Question: | Actual filter size |
Answer: | The actual size for the filter cartridge is: H=8 1/2 by W=1 1/2 by L=8 3/4 inches. These are overall measurements of the cartridge. The actual filter dimensions are 7 5/8 by 7 5/8 by 1 1/2. Hope this helps. |
Product features
Trapmax Filter Technology
The exclusive Trapmax system traps unwanted mineral deposits and cleans air naturally.
To maintain maximum efficiency, wick filters should be replaced at least once per season, or more often under hard water conditions.
Caring for Your Wick
How Often Should I Replace My Wick?
We recommend changing your wick every 30-90 days, but your water quality will ultimately dictate your wick’s replacement frequency. Areas with very hard or very soft water will typically require more frequent wick changes, since your wick is working harder to filter your water. Keeping your humidifier clean will help this.
Can I Clean My Wick?
No. Our wicks are made of highly absorbent paper, which makes them great for wicking water, but not sturdy enough to withstand scrubbing or a run through the dishwasher. Cleaning your humidifier regularly is the best way to keep your wick clean.
How Do I Replace My Wick?
Wick replacement instructions vary by model, but changing a wick is pretty easy to do. You’ll find your model’s instructions in your owner’s manual.
AIRCARE Console Evaporative Humidifier, MA1201
This evaporative humidifier from AIRCARE is sure to complement any decor. It has an easy single bottle design. This humidifier works to add invisible moisture to your environment by moving dry air through a saturated wick filter.
Benefits of Humidication
Evaporative humidifiers are a great solution for adding much needed humidity to dry indoor air. By raising indoor relative humidity levels to 43% or above, 86% of airborne flu virus particles are rendered powerless. Maintaining proper humidity levels also helps treat allergy symptoms by soothing dryness, itchiness, and irritation in the nose, nasal passages, sinuses, mouth, throat, and eyes. Many people think pet hair is the cause of allergies, but in reality, the cause of allergens from pets is actually from their dander. Adding moisture to the air reduces pet dander and other airborne allergens. Properly humidified environments can decrease or eliminate static electricity, reducing the chance of damage to sensitive electronic equipment like laptops, desktop computers, tablets, TV’s, stereo systems, etc. Evaporative Humidification not only produces comfortable/healthy air, it is also an extremely effective way to save money on energy cost. Adding humidity to the air allows you to remain comfortable at lower thermostat settings. 'The rule of thumb is that you can save about 3% on your heating bill for every degree that you set back your thermostat,' says Bill Prindle, deputy director for the non-profit American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy. This means evaporative humidification could save you up to 10% on your energy bill.
Product description
Air-Care electrostatic air filters are 10 times more efficient than the standard disposable filter. By switching to a permanent electrostatic furnace filter, the air inside your home will be cleaner and fresher. Our furnace filters are electrostatically charged to trap up to 94% of the dust and allergens in your home. Just easily wash the filter every 1-3 months and put it back in place. The sturdy galvanized frame will stand the test of time. With a limited lifetime warranty and 100% money back guarantee, why not make the switch to a permanent air filter? Electrostatic Air Filters clean the air by using static electricity, a safe, naturally occurring phenomenon. An electrostatic charge is generated by air flowing through a maze of static prone fibers. Airborne particles are attracted and held by the static charge until released by washing. All Air-Care Electrostatic Air Filters contain an EPA registered anti-microbial material to inhibit mold and bacteria growth on the air filter surface. The air you breathe contains many irritants such as pollen, dust, bacteria, mold spores, pet dander and smoke. Most of these particles are smaller than one micron. Our Electrostatic Air Filters are an effective and efficient way to reduce the number of these particles in your air. This illustration shows the typical dust loading pattern of the electrostatic fibers. This unique characteristic improves air flow while providing maximum filtration ✔ Cleaner air to breathe ✔ No harmful ozone emissions ✔ Removes pollen, dust and airborne particles ✔ High dust holding capacity ✔ Less housecleaning ✔ Never needs replacing.
- Traps 88% of airborne dust and allergens
- 5 Layers of Filtration with 3rd Party Certification

Question: | I had a Kenmore console humidifier and this looks extremely similar. Are they the same |
Answer: | This is a vacuum switch -0.37 pf |
Question: | Is there any way to reduce the gurgling sounds as water drains from the tanks into the humidifier |
Answer: | What is the rating on the existing switches? This one is 0.37. My suggestion would be to cross reference the part number with your model furnace and then also make sure it is the same pressure rating. Amana website may be able to help with the cross reference? |

User questions & answers
Question: | How to mount it on ceiling? I have a square hole about 12x21 inch air-in port |
Answer: | You will need to use a ruler and drawing pencil to cut 2 inches off the height to make your ceiling hole 14 instead 12. You can use several saws but the easiest is the reciprocating battery powered saw to cut hole 2 more inches. The saw looks like this...... You can use a jacksaw or straight saw but they are harder to get in tight spaces. https://www.google.com/search?q=reciprocating+saw+pics&biw=1366&bih=638&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiHmZ3VwunPAhUr44MKHe8yCWUQ_AUIBygC |
Question: | How often does the mfr recommend it be cleaned? And do you need to use the ZAP! Electrostatic Air Filter Cleaner? Thank you |
Answer: | Not to be smug but clean it when it gets dirty. Rule of thumb would be every 30 days or so. You don't need to use the special cleaner. Just rinse it from the back side first then rinse the intake side and allow to dry. As long as it's not dripping wet you can put it back in the filter holder. |
Question: | Do you clean it and how |
Answer: | yes, this filter needs to be cleaned every 30-40days. So far i hosed it outside. The winter is coming up, i need to see whether i can clean it in the laundry room and let it dry for a day or two before reusing. |
Question: | Will this fit in a 14x25x1 slot. The dimensions say 24.6 x 15.8 x 1.8 inches |
Answer: | Yes, it will fit. The dimension of the filter I received are 13 5/8 x 24 5/8 x 7/8 inches. I'd guess the listed dimensions are for the shipping box. |
Question: | How often do you have to wash the filter |
Answer: | Depending on how often your furnace or a/c is used and the dust conditions outside, I would say 4 to 8 weeks. I do mine every month as I have new construction going up around my home and it is very dusty. |
Question: | Do these ever have to be replaced? I know some brands say they still have to be replaced every 2-3 years |
Answer: | Should last 10-15 years if washed regularly |
Question: | what are the specific warranty terms |
Answer: | Hi, I don't know the specific warranty, probably lifetime, but I don't think you need one. It is a great air filter, I wish I knew about this sonner. Normally you will spend something like $4.00 to $27 for about 6 month-period, not last a year like one was told. This one, will last you a life time, that is why I said you need no warranty. I normally vaccumm the dust out once about 3-4 weeks, I want my filter clean and air fresh. You can wash out this one with a water hose, but I don't do that. I hope this will help you. |
Question: | Is this filter UV resistant |
Answer: | No, it is not UV resistant |

User questions & answers
Question: | Does the aircare 7d6 1000 4-speed table top evaporative humidifier, grey have a written warrenty for a period of time with it |
Answer: | We are running three of them 24/7 in a wood boat restoration shop where holding humidity at 60% is critical. In our experience, while they do gurgle as water leaves the tanks, which ALL humidifiers do, they are incredibly efficient, quiet and absolutely trouble free. |
Question: | Does a filter come with this |
Answer: | I bought this same unit back in 2010, and it had the same issue. The left tank would never drain. As others have mentioned the "feet" on the left tank are shorter than the "feet" on the right tank. You need to raise the left tank up just a bit in order for it to drain properly. I solved the issue with a piece of 3/4 inch PVC pipe that was 2 inches long. I cut the 2 inch long piece of PVC pipe down the middle, length wise, creating two equal "half moon" curved spacers. With the left tank removed, I placed the two spacers in the channel where the feet of the left tank sit. This channel has a curve to it, so with the spacers placed curved side down, into the curved channel, the PVC pipe spacers fit nicely into the channel, preventing them from sliding off. With the spacers placed underneath each foot, it raises the left tank up enough to allow the tank to properly drain after the right tank is empty! This has worked out great so far, and the pieces of PVC pipe are easily removed at the end of the season in order to clean the tank. |
Question: | Does this automatically turn off when empty |
Answer: | It is 10mm outer diameter |
Question: | Does anyone know how to clean the fan on this model. Mine is starting to run slower because of the dust build up |
Answer: | The function for unit is to clean your purge oil and you need the extraction device and material, which you already have. |

Why Humidify
- Protects your family from flu virus: Centers for Disease Control testing has shown that relative humidity levels of 43% or more reduces the ability for the flu virus to survive.
- Reduces static electricity: eliminate annoying static shocks and protect your investment in your home electronics.
- Nurtures well-being: soothes a scratchy throat, dry skin and eyes, and alleviates allergy symptoms.
- Nourishes your furnishings: hydrate your fine wood and leather furnishings, reduce creaking wooden floors.
The Sweet Spot
If some sour notes are coming from your piano or guitar, you might be missing something other than musical talent. Some instruments require humidity to retain their proper shape, strength and sound. Utilizing an AIRCARE humidifier and hygrometer, you can maintain the 40 to 60% humidity level recommended to keep the music playing.
Save Energy and Money
Dry air sheds heat easily driving up your heating bill. Releasing moisture into the air via an AIRCARE humidifier can help. By adding water molecules to the air, you help increase your home’s heat retention while allowing you to reduce the temp on your thermostat. Some Department of Energy studies show you can save around 3% on your energy bill for every 1-2 degrees you reduce your thermostat.
For the Love of Dog
Hate suffering from dry skin? So do our four-legged friends. Dry indoor air can cause pet skin to become itchy and flakey, and while scratching may relieve their discomfort, it increases ours by sending hair and dander flying into the air. Show them some love by adding healthy, clean water vapor into the air with an AIRCARE humidifier while trapping airborne dust and dander in our humidifier wicks and filters.
