Question:	Can you use the fan without the thermostat feature? I don't want it going on and off all night long
Answer:	I think the other replies were with older models? I just purchased this model and there's no issue with opting out of the thermostat feature. As noted in the instructions, to get to continous air flow, you just keep clicking the button through the modes (first you click throught the various thermostat temperatures, and then you get to "high" or "low" as options. If you click high or low either one will stay on continously. Both options are extremely quiet. It sounds like the person who had a louid nose on the low setting had a defective fan.
Question:	I want to use this in a stand-alone one room dance studio with only one window. If it's very hot outside, will this really keep it cool inside
Answer:	It’s not an AC unit so it will only be as cool (or slightly less hot) as the air from the source. That being said you could use this fan on Exhaust to suck hot air out and use a tower fan to create a breeze in the room. But to cool a room on a 90+ degree day, I’d recommend a window AC. This fan will circulate air tho, so it’s not a bad place to start.
Question:	I need the CFM and decibel (noise) ratings on this fan. These are my two most crucial criteria, but no one shows them
Answer:	This is our second window fan. I don't remember what brand/model etc our first fan was, but the CFM WAS WAY higher than this Holmes fan. My assumption is by lowering the maximum fan speed & thus drastically lower the CFM, they can advertise the fan as being quieter and using less energy. ***We have used this fan for 2 years and we DO NOT recommend it if you are looking for a high CFM (volume) fan***

Answer:	I’ve been using an older version of this fan for about 20, yup, 20 years. I use it in a garage studio. Sometimes it runs for months 24/7. It’s slowing down, tons of dirt and mysterious things on it. While it is exhaling i spray wd30 on it till it speeds up again, lol. I have absolutely punished this fan. But like I said, I run it all year, summer and winter. One side died about 4 years ago, but the other is running as we speak. The reason I saw this is because I was looking to see if they still made it. Yay they do; and it is very quiet. Next paycheck I’m getting a new one. I love the intake exhaust function,brilliant! So happy they’re still available. Can’t go wrong, and not a lot of money.

Question:	Is this good for smokers
Answer:	The HEPA filter will remove quite a bit of smoke but it won't last near as long in a smoky environment, Using the ionizer might be a bad idea for smokers. The ionizer will change the smoke into a substance that will stick to everything more vigorously than usual. The odor from the remnants of ionized smoke is sticky and more pungent after it has collected on nearby objects over time, and it's MUCH harder to wipe away.
Question:	how often do you have to change the filter
Answer:	We live in rural northern Alabama where there is a lot of pollen and cotton/corn fields; 6 to 7 months is the maximum we can go on a single filter. We use the HAPF300AP-U4 filters which claim to last 12 months but air flow is significantly reduced by 6 months; going any longer would probably put an unnecessary strain on the motor and shorten the life of the purifier. My children have severe allergies; so we immediately know when the filters need to be changed.
Question:	Would this be good in an office enviroment to put on my desk to eliminate cologne and perfume smells
Answer:	I realize this question is a couple of years old, but for other potential buyers--I've been running this on my desk on high for over a year and have never had any comments or complaints from callers. It's next to my laptop and appx 1.5-2' from me, and I've never had any issues. I don't have issues with strong colognes or perfumes, but the air in my home office is always noticeably fresher than the air in the rest of my home and I have open windows/moderate-heavy pollen most of the year. (I'm here now for unit #2.)

Answer:	Yes, it does come with its own HEPA filter. However, when I replace mine I just buy one of those HVAC home 12 by 25inch pleated filters from Home Depot to replace them with. They are much cheaper and do a good job.

Answer:	The product (Itself) seems durable. The handles, as they connect to the mat, not at all. After only 2 uses, the handles began pulling away from the mat material. Answer:	I have an 1800 sq ft home and have 4 of the Clarifion units. They seem to work best 2 to a room. It's important to remember to clean them once a month with some compressed air. I buy cans used for cleaning computers, keyboards, etc. These units seemed to have help my wife's allergy issues quite a bit! Good Luck...

Answer:	They should last 6 months continuous use. They are carbon so all they are removing is odor. If you are a smoker then probably not as long, depending on your habit. I have pets and there is no problem with pet odors in the house anymore.
Question:	Do you have the filter for the front of the 8650b model? The size is about 13 1/2 by 15 1/2 inches

Answer:	No. Do not wash them. I use a shop vac with a HEPA filter and vacuum off the accumulated dust every 6-8 weeks. Then I replace the carbon filters every 6 months or so.
Question:	What are the dimensions on these? I'm looking for a cheaper alternative to the TrueAir carbon filters and would like to see if these would fit

Answer:	I love this fan, upright is perfect for out sliding door to bring in the breeze...but the oscillating is automatic, about 110 degree, not quite 180 degrees...but we've had it for about 2 years and still love

Question:	How long did it last running every day
Answer:	I have had mine for several years. Still runs all day. I use it in the winter to circulate air from the wood stove. HOWEVER i do have to wait 10 or 15 minutes for it to spin up. Been doing that for years. If your fan stopped blowing, look and see if it is spinning at. Does it still oscillate? Then give it 10 minutes and see if it doesnt start blowing.
