Mine works great and I haven’t had any problems and it’s not only quieter than most fans, it’s very powerful and moves a lot of air

Answer:	Yes. This fan has a steady 'white noise' sound. On low it is softer than on the high setting. I like both of the levels. the sound seems to drown out other noises like cars going by etc.

Answer:	Absolutely, yes. This fan is like the ones made in the 1950's in many ways. It is very well manufactured and better than the the originals with better protection of your fingers. I looked into it and saw the power switch is a quality one. And the wiring is first rate with a fuse in the plug end of the power cord. I am going to buy another one as well. I have the larger type original by Vornado and this is as well made. The blades are plastic but well done, deep pitch 5 blade. Exceptionally high standards for modern products... quiet, reliable, and yes metal. Vornado is what they claim to be... the best room air circulatory systems made.

Answer:	Yes - If the 16ft standard line sets aren't long enough for where you plan to install your inside units, Senville will replace them with whatever length you need for an additional cost. 16ft was enough for one of my inside units, but I needed 35ft for the second one & 50ft for the third one. They only send 14/4 communication wire with the 16ft line sets so I bought 100ft from a big box home improvement store that sells DIY mini-splits. Worked perfectly. Just make sure the total length of your lines sets doesn't exceed the maximum length for the unit & that the vertical "drop" from the highest inside unit to the location on the ground where the outside unit will be sitting doesn't exceed the maximum either. In the U.S., outside units are charged with enough R410A Freon for a 25ft line set for each inside unit. The total length of my 3 line sets was 101ft (16+35+50) & my outside unit was charged for 75ft (25x3), so I needed to add R410A for an additional 26ft (101-75) - which was approximately 1/2lb. The amount of additional R410A you need to add for each additional foot can be found in the installation manual for the outside unit you buy. You can buy small cans of R410A made for "topping off" new systems when situations like this arise on eBay.

Answer:	It really depends on what you mean by quiet. You can hear it on low speed but it is not annoying. As you increase the speed, the sound because more noticeable. I would say that it is just as quiet as a 20" bladed fan can be. It is the blades rotating in the air that make the sound. The only way to reduce the sound would be to decrease the blade's angle-of-attack or decrease the fan's rotation speed. Either one results in less air movement. Sound is air movement, therefore, more air movement (which is what fans do) equals more sound. I hope that this helps.

Answer:	not easy but can be done. first unscrew the screw at bottom of back, then gently pry all the sides..I used a small flat head screw driver but a butter knife would work also. I was unable to totally remove all sides but could reach in and clean the fan along with the front and back screens. Reattach by gently pushing side back together. Love the power of the fan but the being able to clean easily I don't.

Question:	How do you get it open to clean, we unscrewed the screw but we still can’t open to clean. I need specific directions or I am returning it
Answer:	Yes, it does a great job of cooling and a decent job of heating a room in our home. I would call it supplemental heat-if it isn't going to be super cold (-30), it should be fine!
Question:	Could it be mounted to a wall
Answer:	I have it in my bedroom which is about 250 square feet. The air does feel cold but I have the put the thermostat at around 82 to start warming. After a couple of hours it gets too warm and then I lower it. I just use it to heat my bedroom when I need. I will usually go turn it on about a hour before bedtime.

Answer:	When you have it on auto fan speed with energy saver, it senses the temp and give air when necessary and shuts off when air is enough and if you don't touch it, it comes up on by itself again.

Question:	To what angle can the fan angle be tilted up towards the ceiling? (eg, 90 degrees is straight up
Answer:	yea, it can in fact be pointed straight up 90 degrees. By that logic, it's full rotation would be from -20 degrees (where 0 is pointing straight ahead) to 20 degrees past 90 (70 degrees on the other side of 90). So to be super clear, it can be pointed slightly down toward the ground and then rotated a full 180 degrees upwards, which puts it a little past 90. Hopefully that makes sense.
Question:	I bought this fan because one reviewer said it had no power brick, and in the question section, it said no brick. Mine came with a brick. What gives
Answer:	The pedestal models (such as this one) have a power brick. The smaller tabletop models such as the 533DC do not have a power brick.
Question:	How many watts
Answer:	At full chooch 40 watts, on lowest setting 1 watt. This is measured with a Killawatt meter. However, the lowest setting is almost pointless, it's more like a "look how slow we can go with PWM!" setting. Set to the lowest usable setting it pulled 4 watts from the wall. For comparison my old Model 180 Compact is also a 7" fan and pulls 87 watts on high and 27 on low, although low on the Model 180 is substantially more airflow than the 530. For my scenario where I use the fan for sleeping it would take roughly 8 years for the 530 to 'pay for itself in electricity savings' verses keeping the 180, and the 180 is a MUCH better fan.
Question:	If the power goes out will the fan come back on by itself when the power is restored? (I want to use it with a smart outlet
Answer:	I just got the 633DC version of this fan. As long as the dial is not set to 'Off', the fan starts spinning again after I plug it back in. I, too, plan to use it with a smart outlet.
