Question:	Does the Aprilaire 1830 being sold have the lastest built in digital controls
Answer:	I didn't even know there was a warranty. I've been using mine for several months now with no problem. I love this egg slicer and I don't think it costs enough to even have a warranty. Check with the manufacturer.

Answer:	We assume it is , most items are at least upper level dishwasher safe, we rarely use a dishwasher, sorry we couldn’t be more help
Question:	What is the wattage, or Amperage draw for this unit? Can't find that spec anywhere, even on their website
Answer:	I don't know whether or not this item is dishwasher safe but my egg slicer only lasted less than 2 months before the wires became stretched to the point where it no longer lines up with the corresponding white plastic area. Renders the item useless. The seller refused to address my complaint and rather directed me to Amazon. I contacted Amazon and their response was simply to say that it was past the period during which it could be returned or replaced. VERY poor customer support. Nearly $14 spent and absolutely no concern on the part of the seller or Amazon for the failure of the product within les than 2 months of use.
Question:	How durable is this unit? Has anyone had it for 5 years or more without problems? Thanks
Answer:	The slicer portion is 2 3/8" wide so will accommodate an egg no larger than 2 3/8" in circumference at the widest part; the dicer portion looks like it will accommodate a larger egg, one that is no larger than 2 7/8" circumference at the widest part of the egg; the wedger portion will only accommodate a standard size egg of 2 1/4" circumference at the widest part. I purchase Large to X-Large eggs and have had no problems but have never tried a Jumbo size egg. My guess is that a Jumbo would most likely fit in the dicer or slicer portion but not the wedge portion. Certainly if your eggs are larger than Jumbo then you'll have to slice/dice/wedge them yourself. Hope this helps.

Answer:	Its the same 'hook' style where the part that you push down has a bar that fits in the frame. These are tiny. if you are putting your keys on your belt loop you are not going to like them.

Answer:	No. This product does not have a locking mechanism. It was designed to retract and be returned to the case housing when not in use.
Question:	where can i get the drainage hose that fits in the humidifier
Answer:	Probably a dozen keys. I use it for some heavy fishing pliers and it handles them easily. Not sure on the exact ounces of weight though..

Answer:	When the water tank is full, the dehumidifier will automatically shut OFF and the indicator will illuminate on the control panel followed by a beeping sound. Please refer to the product manual on the website www.honeywellhomecomfort.com for more information.
Question:	Can you use it on carpet
Answer:	I am using mine on the hard floor. If you use it on the carpet, the unit probably won’t roll as easily. There is no leakage from the unit.
Question:	Does this produce a lot of warm/hot air coming from the top
Answer:	When the dehumidifier is switched ON, a fan pulls moisture-laden air into the dehumidifier where it passes through dehumidifying coils inside the unit. These coils condense moisture from the air and collect it in the water tank. The dry air is then exhausted from the dehumidifier. The air flows through the air vents of the dehumidifier into the room as DRY, WARM air. Question:	Is this an american company? is it made in the usa
Answer:	It measures humidity where it is located. However, there is no "set point" on the dehumidifier control. You can only set it to remove more or less humidity. The aprilaire dehumidifier I had it hooked to broke in 2 1/2 years. Aprilaire covered it under warentee; however, you have to get an AC technician to certify it is broke before they will replace it. It cost me $150 to have it certified as broke. I had to uninstall it and they sent me a new one. I put the new one in and it broke in about 2 or 2 1/2 years. I gave it to an AC technician. They fixed it and it broke again in 2 to 2 1/2 years. However, he could not fix it as Aprilaire does not sell a lot of replacement parts and the ones they sell are incredibly expensive. Oh, I installed this dehumidifer control and it broke in about 1 1/2 years. Might want to consider installing a different brand of dehumidifier and dehumidifier control.
Question:	Is there a way to empty it without a drain hose
Answer:	Try a mix of bleach & water 50/50. Doesn't have to be alot. Don't use anything abrasive use soft cloth. Also when using humidifier only use distilled water not tap water! That seems to work best for me.
Question:	I cannot set the humidity %. The Owners Manual says to push the up or down arrows to set the humidity %, but nothing happens
Answer:	HI Angela, You can see the water and how much is there, You just look at it and you can see where the water level is, At night , you would have to put a light on, to look at it, I am not sure you know this, But if if there is no water left, it shuts off by itself, you will see the red light... Question:	Can i get the screw in adaptor for the hose ? I have lost it and need to order one
Answer:	The top of the ears, and a little bit around the face. If you are looking for one that comes out more on the front, you might try the penguin or the elephant. We ended up switching to those because it was easier to keep the mist off the dresser.
