HEPA filter remove 99.97% of particles above 0.3 micrometers, and PM2.5 are right around 2.5 micrometers, so this would be extremely effective at doing so. This is true of all HEPA filters though, nothing special here.
Question:	I just received mine today and the moment I turned it on, the power indicator is still flashing red. Why is that
Answer:	It comes with 1 HEPA filter (1 year est.) and 1 carbon filter (6 month est.) Based on the reviews though, the filter tend to lasts longer than the estimate.

Answer:	I would think so but you can go to their website and hit the contact button to ask. They are very responsive. Website is pureenrichment.com. The bulb has a 20,000 hour life so I would guess they last at least 5 years with normal usage. I wash the external large particle filter once per month and replace the whole filter unit every 6 months. I love these purifiers. We have 3 of them and I'm thinking of buying 2 more for the office.

Question:	will it remove mildew smell
Answer:	I can't say that the Airmega 400 will remove your mildew smell (only fixing the mold problem will do that) but it does a very good job of mitigating the musty smell that comes with mold or mildew in the house. It has a true HEPA filter with charcoal that is very good/excellent at keeping other PM down - pet hair and odor, smoke and dust/dander. I have an older home and live in a very wet environment (almost daily fog most of the year). The Airmega 400 does a very good job of keeping that mustiness at a low level but it is not anti-microbial, it does not kill mold and mildew spores.
Question:	Can anyone who owns this unit see ignore you can turns all the lights completely off, not just dimmed
Answer:	To turn all the lights off, all you have to do is lightly press the correct button on the lower left of the top of the unit, counting the front of the unit as the side where the circle of light is. It's an on and off button for the lights. Tap it lightly. The lights go completely off.
Question:	The prewash light came on. I washed them and it wont turn off
Answer:	You have to hold down the prewash light until it beeps and turns off. This will reset it to begin its countdown again.
Question:	I'm getting a shipping error for California. Why is there a restriction to ship to California? It doesn't go over the dimension or weight max
Answer:	California bans electrostatic air filters because they produce unsafe amounts of ozone. Ozone damages your lungs. This also might be an Amazon problem, where they take reviews for similar products and stick them all together. I'm not sure the Airmega 400 has an electrostatic system in it. I don't see the no shipping alert on its Amazon listing (I live in California) but I see it on Healthmate HM-400 listing. The Wirecutter did a whole article and missed the electrostatic filter, so thanks CA. Electrostatic filters are very effective at removing particles but they produce ozone. If you're tired of smelling chicken poop, moving from a chicken ranch to an oil refinery would work, but.....

The water filter comes with a valve that must be screwed onto the faucet after removing the standard screen filter from the faucet. The valve connects to the new filter via a small, flexible tube. To dispense water from the filter you rotate the valve handle which must be returned to it's original position for normal use of the faucet, say for hand washing, etc. So, if your dishwasher connection to your faucet can be clamped over the filter dispenser, I would think there would be no problem. However, if it must be screwed onto the filter dispenser, it seems it could be difficult at best. Without seeing your current connection I can't give you a definitive yes or no answer.
