Answer:	The biggest problem is that the cap is a solid seal -- if you put carbonated beverages in it and then seal the cap it could/would explode or pop when you re-open it. The regular caps have a 'pressure release' = but if you use those caps with something thick like coffee or hot chocolate they tend to get cruddy and stop flowing after a while.
