Answer:	It needs to "vent" somewhere. My sister had hers venting out the exit where her dryer normally vented because it put the ac in the center of the house. She devised a way to quickly switch it back to the dryer when she was doing laundry.
Question:	Can i vent into an attic
Answer:	Actually the A/C condensation is blown out the vent hose. If the vent hose is inclined up to the attic the condensation water would collect at the lowest point and cause problems including leaking all over the floor. The hose is also too short to reach the attic.
Question:	If i am using this unit for ac purposes only will i need to remove the window screen when installing the vent/hose part of the unit
Answer:	You probably won't need to remove the screen. The AC has a hose that runs to a vent piece, and it is pretty much flush on the other side. I didn't need to remove my screen when I installed this unit. One thing I wish i knew before I bought it however is this system does not have a system for turning on when a temp is high and then turn off when a desired temp is reach. Answer:	I would not store it on its side, due to the fact that the system contains refrigerant which is in a liquid/gas state to work. Probably a specific area for it to collect when stored upright. It could be ok, but I wouldn't.

Answer:	Yes, it can. We have a portable one all ready. We built a wood frame with treated wood for extra weather protection and painted it with good white paint. Set it in the window away from the main entrance. Cut a hole and put in the plastic lead for air to go to the outside. Attached the hose and it was all good to go. We caulked around the window with foam rubber strippimng to keep out the heat and cold weather. We also have one that has NO DRAIN to the outside.

Answer:	I think it depends on the model, the 8.5 amps mentioned is probably for the 10,000BTU unit so I would guess the 14,000BTU would be 40% higher

When the set temperature is reached, the compressor (cooling function) of the unit turns off but the fan continues to run to circulate the air inside the room.
