Additionally, the supposition is that you want aluminum tanks to prevent oxidation (rusting): the outside of the tanks are coated in a fairly thick commercial grade paint (possibly epoxy paint) that certainly will resist surface rust. Regarding internal tank rusting: the tanks have a release valve to prevent ambient humidity condensing and aiding internal oxidation. Just be sure to use the valve after use and the risk of internal oxidation is minimal considering life expectancy of compressor (10 years ish under moderate use)... And no I don't sell them, I simply know about chemistry:-)

Two Ways to Drain

When humidity is high and temperature in the room is low, air conditioners cannot evaporate moisture fast enough! This is why wall units are always dripping water outside. So you can keep your device inside, ours offers two convenient options:

1. Built-In Water Tank: Allow the unit to collect water internally. The reservoir holds up to 1.5 liters and will turn off and illuminate the ‘bucket fill’ light when full. Empty it manually every couple of days to keep the cool air flowing!

2. Continuous Drainage: To keep cooling without worry, set up external drainage by removing the port cap and installing a garden hose. Connect to a nearby floor drain or bucket, and gravity will do its work!

Question:	Does the humidifier permit you to mix essential oils to the water without damaging it
Answer:	I read somewhere not to add anything other than water to the water tank. The unit is made by Intertek. Maybe their website has more information. Having said that, I put ice in the water tank to cool our room faster. We absolutely love this unit.
Question:	Only two weeks in use and the machine releases a horrible smell of mold, despite my regularly cleaning the tank. What can I do
Answer:	Hello, Thank you for contacting NewAir, I apologize for the experience that you are facing but I am more than happy to assist with your issue! We recommend a half-and-half compound. The first half of the mix is clean water. As for the second, lemon juice or citric acid are both excellent mold killers. Clean and dry the tank with this cleansing agent. Pay special attention to the drying stage, for you're trying to get rid of the damp, not create more. Treat the hoses and cooling pads with the same mix, then you should use a damp cloth to wipe away any residue. Dry everything. By the way, a half-and-half vinegar and water substitute also works. Just don't use the mix on the pads, not unless you want the smell of vinegar in the air whenever the newly cleaned evaporative cooler is utilized. Best Regards Customer Care

Answer:	I use the kind you purchase in the sporting goods area for small camping/lunch size coolers. I pop 1 or 2 in the tank and voila! Cool air!

Answer:	Thank you for the question. When we purchased the SpinShot 2 from Amazon, it came with a battery. As I recall, I verified with the Spinshot company that a battery would be supplied and not have to be purchased separately. The machine is good and I would love to know how you get on with it.
