Answer: No. This chair has a set height and it cannot be changed. I don't know how it would fit at a desk for computer work, but I can say that it sits low and is perfect for just siting in an area space. It's comfortable. I use it for reading, watching TV and napping. I hope this helps you.

Question: Can you adjust the height of the ottoman
Answer: It is a type of plastic based vinyl leather substitute which means it is oil based and therefore flammable.
Question: Can this be used as a desk chair
Answer: It always has a slight incline. I'm not sure how straight up you have to be but it is more of a recliner and even in its most upright position it's got a slight incline. It's very comfortable especially with the foot stool and I have no problem having my laptop on my lap and using it to write, but I don't have to sit perfectly straight up for that. Sorry I couldn't know for sure for your use.

Answer: Tall = No problem unless you really tall (like more than 6'4" or so). Chubby = Some problem. Fat = Forget about it. Long story short, this is a good chair for someone less than 6'1" and 200 lbs.
