Answer:	I understand your question and it's a good one. This table height states 36" when the average dining table height in the U.S. is 28"-30" and the average dining chair seat height is 18" high. There are counter height chairs (34"-36"), bistro height chairs (18"-26") and bar height chairs (29"-32") as well as the standard dining chairs (18" unless it's antique and then a bit shorter!). This table is a little higher than most dining tables so chair pads might be in order if you've got "average" or "standard" chairs. Not just any chair will work obviously.
