Once both pcs are connected the entire wooden top is held by 3 screws/bolts on the bottom onto a bracket on each side of desk along the 55", making it 6 screws all together.

Answer:	I haven't had that happen, but I would not recommend trying to do that. A transmission rod controls the raising and lowering of the desk. If you tried to force it up or down, you might damage the mechanism.

Answer:	It's a little more complex than that. There are no standards for desk height, so let's assume 42". At it's lowest setting on the desktop I have to raise the chair to the keyboard tray's height. At that setting the monitor is ok height wise (nonadjustable height, a few inches high due to the stand), the keyboard is set a little far back and the armrests keep getting stuck under the tray. I would call it useable, but not perfect. At it's highest height, a 5' 10" person eye level is about 2/3 the monitor height. Keyboard tray is a few inches too high (bad wrist angle) and no place to rest the arms. That is because seated you can adjust the arm to eye level ratio by resting your elbows on an armrest splayed out from the body. Standing, your arms fall to the side of your body increasing the gap and the keyboard tray is fixed to the tabletop (unadjustable). Standing it is useable for short periods, enough to relax your back, but I wouldn't plan on comfortably typing novels or programming for extended periods. The table works, just not perfectly.
