Answer:	Yes, those top 2 move left and right. It's really nice for different size saddles, ie Western, English etc... I just got mine set up and so far, it's great. Basket on the bottom is a bit weak...so I just put girths in it, nothing heavy.

Answer:	It has to be assembled using a phillips head screwdriver. It was very easy. It's strong and didn't try to "rack". I ordered another one for my other saddle. The copper finish is very attractive.

Answer:	I guess the question is: How heavy? I have a roping saddle - probably 40 ish pounds (I've never actually weighed it, it is just a beast to get up on my 16.2 hand horse) and it the racks don't seem to even care that it is on there.
