Answer:	It's 1/2" However if you drill it may not hold as it's made of compressed wood.

Answer:	When you are building it, IKEA gives you some stops so the drawer will not pull all the way out. I did not install them when assembled and they will pull all the way out. I too was concerned that I would have waisted space toward the back. Now I can pull them out enough to see and use the full drawer. Hope this helps. I love mine.

Answer:	i can confirm that the small drawers will close with clearance on an item that is exactly 3.5" tall measured with calipers. therefore the distance from the bottom of the drawer to the lowest point of the one above it is slightly greater than 3.5"

Answer:	Not sure. The closest IKEA to me is over 2 hours away, and the shipping cost of two Alex drawer units plus a 98 inch countertop was only $60. These should be no more than around $20 over msrp. Definitely not twice the msrp.

Answer:	As of Jan, 2015, the price from the IKEA website is only $5.99, but IKEA charges $10 shipping to my address. So since I have Amazon Prime, I get a slightly better overall price and two-day shipping here on Amazon. But if I really want to save some money, I should drive to the store and get it for $6 plus tax.
Question:	Will stainless steel lids get scratched by the prongs
Answer:	While the tips of the prongs are smooth and tapered, it seems that the pot lids might get a tiny scratch. But if you put only one lid per space and give it plenty of room, then they might not get scratched. To be honest, I use them to display my plates in cupboards with glass doors. I'm very careful with the plates so they won't get chipped by the metal. I hope this is some help to you.

Answer:	Yes, it does stay in the adjusted position very well. It's actually quite stiff to adjust and is much heavier than I thought it would be. I haven't had any issues with it moving around or re-adjusting at all.
