The inside dimensions from inside the rail to the opposite rail from Side to Side, where you would place books or objects is 22 and 11/16ths (one line past the 5/8 mark) The height from top rail to floor is 62 and 3/8 inches. The depth from front to back is 11 and 13/16 (one line past 5/8ths) The height from the floor to the top of the top shelf (they are not adjustable) is 55 and 5/8 inches. Answer:	Fourteen inches from side to side (measured from the inside edge of the front pieces), and basically eleven-and-a-half inches between shelves (measured from the bottom of one to the top of the one beneath it).
