Answer:	It's tall enough for 12" records, but unless you keep it an inch or inch and a half away from the wall, the records will stick out about a 1/4"!! Which really isn't that bad and like I said, you can jockey it around a bit and leave yourself a little space in the back so it's not right up against your wall! My only concern with this thing is the weight capacity?? I'm sure a few records here and there and I'd personally stick to the lower shelves for placing your records!!! I own records that cost 10 times what this thing does, and you may also, but my point is that if you do have some decent vinyl and you want to keep it in nice condition, you might want to get something a little more sturdy! Believe me man... I think this thing is pretty cool looking myself and I'm a record collector and I did put one in my cart and I'll probably buy it, but it might end up just replacing my crappie metal workshop bookshelf that I'm using now for books, but I'm going to try some vinyl in it, but I have a feeling that the vinyl may get way too heavy for it, especially on top and the first shelf, the 2 lower shelves may make out ok!

Answer:	I would place lower shelf all the way to the bottom and set trash can on it then place other shelves where you want. This would keep shelving unit stable. If you need to leave one shelf off keep it and the plastic brackets in case you want to add later.

Answer:	Yes, and you can buy a bag of sleeves here for pennies. I have about 10 sets of shelves that I’ve bought here, Walmart, Aldis. The legs are all the same diameter so I’ve been able to interchange shelves to get what I want. The only issue I’ve had is the size of the shelves. Like others have said, check your measurements. If you use the shelf liners do some comparison shopping. Wide difference in price for same thing. I also found a heavy plastic shelf liner roll I can cut to fit. It has tiny parallel ridges that require cleaning with with a nap- like terry- but glasses sitting upside down can breathe so no “bad breath”. Items can be put away still damp as the ridges allow air to move. Love these wire shelves.

The only tool we used was a hammer to lock in place the pieces. A person stronger then I am might not need the hammer. It goes together like a jigsaw puzzle. The only pieces are those you see in the picture.
