Answer:	I usually put the fabric on the front legs first. Then stretch it up for the back rest. It's tight. But holding chair down and hooking one side of back rest and waiting a bit stretces the fabric. Makes it easier. After the first time,sit in it. It gets better alot easier.

There is a thick insulated layer and I would advise using a pyrex dish with a plastic snap on lid. Unfortunately, I had to give it away as soon as it arrived so no longer have it in my possession.

Answer:	The plastic table top is not smooth in that it has a woodgrain look and texture to it. You can feel that texture and, although it is not interfere with the use of the table, it would probably not be good for sketching without a smoother surface under your paper.
