There is an inner bag that holds the foam THAT would be pain to remove and wash but if you wanted to you could take the foam out and wash that as well. I recommend getting a large comforter and covering the bean bag to cut down on the # of times you wash the outer cover because wrestling with the bag to put it back on can be a real chore to do alone. Note: if the foam picks up a smell like from pets it would be very hard to get rid of. The main drawback is the bags weight of just under 100 pounds (44 kilos) is hard to manuever. |

The beanbag is still really comfortable. |

| Question: | How do we take cover off to wash? There are zippers but they don't seem to work so why are they there |
| Answer: | There are two zippers on bottom of chair, we opened ours with a paper clip. One zipper is over another zipper with no pulls for child proof, just slip paper clip in where the pull would be and easily open, don't open too tight might get hung up, then open second zipper the same way with the paper clip, this is how we opened ours to add more beans which now need more again, definitely not for adults only childrenHave a great day |

| Answer: | Yes, they ALL go flat. Mine is a big lump of furry material on the floor of my living room. I could put more beans in it (I have two) but I know they will just go flat eventually to so we just leave them like that and use them like fireplace pillows. I bought six other ones similar to this one but with a different texture and all of them have gotten much smaller also. They are in my basement for my boys. They're not completely flat but I would need to refill them with gobs of beans to make them out of that shape of a chair the way they came. My kids still enjoy them very much but they don't look like chairs. Hope that helps. |

| Answer: | Hmmm. Soft as in not abrasive, yes. But not soft like chenille. The chair is certainly cozy. The fabric is softer than it appears in the photo in my opinion. |
