I don't have plush carpeting so you might get 6.5 inches off of a hard floor, but I don't see another 1.5 inches from the 6 inches I measured. Also, I had the frame with wheels, maybe if they make one with casters the height from the floor would be different. Hope this helps. |

The more you tighten or loose the metal screw the higher or lower that support becomes. the metal screw is about 2 inches long so you have about 2 inches of adjustment and wiggle room. The beg frame itself sits about 5 inches off the ground so you have 5 inches plus the 2 inch metal screw adjuster/leveler giving you about a maximum bed clearance from the floor of about 7 inches. |

This is not going to be very firm. All toppers are not equal. The firmness is based on the thickness and weight of the topper. A 4 inch thick topper will probably need to be a density of 4 lbs if you want firm. |

She has the 14" version with the charcoal and bamboo and LOVES it so that's why I got this one plus it's described as medium plush. If I have to add a 4 inch gel soft topper, I will. |
