Answer:	In all of my purchases through Amazon I have had one bad experience. This bed was it. On a scale of 1 to 10 for disasters, this would be an 11. The problems were resolved in my favor and I am surprised that Amazon is still allowing this seller on their site. Moysha's BBB Rating is F with many complaints on file. Look them up on the net. To your question, it would not match cherry. It is more of a dark oak. I'm not sure what kind of material it was made of but it wouldn't even burn. It is in some landfill now with other toxic waste.

Answer:	The distance between the rails on the top bunk is 38 3/4" (to accommodate a standard twin size mattress) So the trundle mattress will not fit on the top bunk. For the trundle, we recommend a trundle size mattress: 72.5 long x 38.5 wide x up to 8 in. high. The width of the trundle frame is 39 1/4", but the space between the bed legs on the long end is exactly 75" so a trundle mattress that long will be a tight squeeze.

Answer:	The distance between the bottom slats and the top slats is 36 1/4". Even with the mattress (5-11") on top of the bottom slats, there is plenty of room (approximately 28") for a child to sit up in the bottom bunk. 28" may be a bit tight for an adult to sit completely upright (even though an adult will compress the mattress a bit.

Answer:	I got the option with drawers, not the trundle. But they could be used on either side. They don’t actually connect to the bed at all. They just roll on the floor and push flush up against the bed frame. I would assume the trundle is the same way.

Answer:	I used a basic 8” spring mattress that we purchased at the local store and fit perfectly, it is just that a perfect fit though so you are limited to a set of sheets and a thin blanket on the trundle mattress. A thicker blanket would definitely make it tight. You would still be able to push the trundle in and out but with some finesse.

Question:	Why no more than 9 inches thick for the bottom bunk
Answer:	That is the recommended thickness according to the weight limit of the bunk bed, also you would have more space between the bottom bunk and the slats of the top bunk.
